German tuner Carlsson has taken the wraps off the C25 Super GT Final Edition based on the Mercedes-Benz SL (R230).

The roadster has gained a full carbon fiber body which has shaved off a massive 160 kg (353 lbs) over the standard SL while the headlights & taillights, rear side window and rear window have been specifically designed for this tuning job.

As standard, the C25 Super GT Final Edition is motivated by a V8 engine delivering 450 HP (331 kW) but at an additional cost the customer can opt for a V12 bi-turbo 6.0-liter motor developing 753 HP (554 kW) and a massive 1,320 Nm (973 lb-ft) of torque which will be electronically capped at 1,150 Nm (848 lb-ft).
Performance figures have not been disclosed but in the previous special edition the V12 version catapulted to 62 mph (100 km/h) from a standstill in 3.7 seconds before topping out at 219 mph (352 km/h).

Prospect buyers should know that it takes about 11 months from order until the car is ready for delivery. Those who are willing to pay more can add carbon ceramic composite brakes, stainless steel sport exhaust with large aluminum tailpipe outlets while an iPhone app to control the C-Tronic suspension is also available.

The Carlsson C25 Super GT Final Edition will make its public debut March 3 at the Geneva Motor Show. The tuner doesn’t say how many cars will be built but we do know that availability will be limited to one unit per country while a plethora of customization options will be available to make sure “no two C25s are alike.”
