Partaking in the world’s first-ever car race in 1894, the first Grand Prix victory of a Mercedes at Nice Race Week in 1901 and dominating the sport with an impressive one-two-three finish of Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft in the Grand Prix of Lyon in 1914, racing is an integral part of the Mercedes-Benz brand.
