Mercedes-Benz S-Class, Mercedes G-Class, Mercedes-Benz pickup truck.  Can you pick out the one that doesn’t fit?  It’s hard to believe but Mercedes was seriously considering Mercedes-Benz versions of the Nissan Titan and Frontier to be launched in 2016 with new fascias, upgraded interior and a new suspension.

According to reports from Road & Track, the idea was inspired by to the success of the Volkswagen Amarokand.  But, thankfully, after early development work, the trucks were axed because the Mercedes models would only be available with a limited range of engines due to the capabilities of Nissan while Mercedes wanted more tuning options and for the Frontier to accommodate hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrains.

What would you think of  a Mercedes-Benz truck?
