For the power hungry among you, Mercedes has released pricing details of their new C63 AMG Edition 507 range.  Pricing for the 2014 C63 AMG Edition 507 sedan will begin at $70,000 (along with a $925 delivery charge), and the C63 Edition 507 coupe is priced slightly higher at $72,500 (with the additional $925 as well).

If you’re unfamiliar with the C63 AMG Edition 507, it replaces what was the optional AMG Development Package for both the coupe and sedan. What you get is more power, with output of the AMG 6.3 liter V8 engine being pushed to 507 hp with 450 lb.-ft. of torque (up 56 horsepower over the standard models).  The result:  speed, and lots of it.  Both the C63 AMG Edition 507 coupe and sedan can now hit 60 mph in a mere 4.1 seconds, bettering the standard C63 model by three-tenths of a second (and the former optional AMG Development Package by two tenths of a second). And as an added bonus, top speed has been electronically raised to 174 mph (up from the standard 155 mph), ensuring even more exhilarating track runs on the weekend.

Speaking about the C63 AMG Edition 507, Ola Källenius, Chairman of the Board of Management of Mercedes-AMG GmbH, had this to say: “The C63 AMG with the classic AMG 6.3-liter high-revving V8 naturally aspirated engine is one of the most popular AMG high-performance cars in the world. With the new C 63 AMG Edition 507, we are offering our loyal customers an attractive model variant which boasts even higher performance and at the same time is visually exciting.”

Of course, incredible performance is nothing new to Mercedes, as many of the C63 AMG Edition 507’s components are carried over from the SLS AMG.  Key shared components include the eight-cylinder naturally aspirated engine’s forged pistons, connecting rods and a lightweight crankshaft. Also standard on the C63 Edition 507 is the AMG high-performance compound braking system with  super sexy red brake calipers.

Design wise, the C63 AMG Edition 507 notes numerous distinctive design cues, starting with the hood.  First made famous on the C63 AMG Coupe Black Series, the Edition 507’s aluminum hood notes two openings to help expel engine heat. On the ground, newly designed AMG light-alloy forged wheels (available in titanium grey or matte black) with 235/35 R 19 front tires and 255/30 R 19 rear tires further set the Edition 507 apart from its siblings.  And lastly, an AMG sports stripe applique in matte graphite grey is featured above the rocker panels, adding another sporty touch.

There’s als a variety of unique paint touches and interior upgrades, all of which you can view in the C63 AMG Edition 507 Photo Gallery below.
