Mercedes is currently road testing the new C63 AMG saloon ahead of its 2014 launch alongside the rest of the new C-Class range. The spy photos show the AMG variant with bigger, bulkier bumpers, large alloy wheels and twin exhaust housings at the rear.
The current version has 6.3-litre V8, while the new C63 AMG will be powered by a far more efficient 5.5-litre twin-turbo V8. It is expected to have the same 518bhp output as the E63 and CLS 63, which also use the newer turbocharged engine. That’s a jump of 67bhp.
It will also have the same AMG-tuned seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, which along with retuned adaptive suspension, stronger brakes and less weight should help it improve on the current C63 AMG’s 4.5-second 0-62 mph time, while using less fuel.
A new six-cylinder BMW M3 will make its debut in 2014 as well, so we can expect some strong competition. For more angles of the new C63 AMG testing, click here.

Our good friends in Germany had a chance to get behind the wheel of the CLA45 AMG ahead of its Detroit debut early next year.
As we’ve previously reported, the four-door coupe has been heavily influenced by the Concept Style Coupe and has a similar sleek styling. The AMG variant distinguishes itself from the base model with its own unique bumpers, an updated exhaust system and traditional five-spoke alloy wheels.
The engines will carryover from the A-Class, however the CLA 45 AMG will feature a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 354 HP (260 kW) and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) of torque that will be connected to a 7G-DCT transmission and a 4MATIC all-wheel drive system with a “Torque on Demand” rear axle. The CLA 250 will feature a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 211 HP (155 kW) and will be available with all-wheel drive.

The very stealthy spy photographers over at WCF have once again caught the sedan version of facelifted 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class prototype while testing.
New one-piece headlights, restyled front bumper and grille are likely to be seen on the facelifted E-Class, along with a few minor revisions to the taillights and rear bumper.
The engine lineup for the 2014 E-Class will more than likely receive an increase in horsepower. The high-performance E63 AMG variant has been reported to generate 543 hp (405 kW) without the optional Performance Package. Mercedes-Benz might also be planning a new entry-level variant with a 4-cylinder, 1.6-liter Renault-sourced engine producing 156 hp (116 kW).
The 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class will debut at NAIAS in Detroit next month.

Thanks to the latest spy photos and video, courtesy or our good friend Markus, Mercedes-Benz has given us a detailed look at the CLA 45 AMG.
At the 2013 NAIAS in January, the Mercedes-Benz CLA will celebrate its world premiere followed later in the year with the debut of the CLA45 AMG in Frankfurt.
As previously reported, the CLA 45 AMG will likely receive a 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder turbocharged engine that generates 354 hp and has a maximum torque of 450 Nm. It will be partnered with a seven-speed, dual-clutch gearbox that will send the power to all four wheels.
Make sure to view the gallery below and check out the video for the most current look at the all new Mercedes CLA.
Special thanks to Markus for the tip.
The upcoming Mercedes-Benz CLA 45 AMG was recently spied near Augsburg, Germany by Michael, a friend of World Car Fans.
Based on the photos that show the large front grille, it seems that it will look a lot like the grille on the Concept A-Class. What makes the grille so interesting is that it has several “dots”. You’ll also notice in the photos that the front fascia is quite aggressive, the new CLA 45 has aerodynamic side skirts, dual exhaust, trunk-mounted spoiler, high-performance brakes and the typical double five-spoke AMG alloys.
As previously reported by WCF, the CLA 45 AMG will likely receive a 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder turbocharged engine that generates 335 HP (246 kW) and 295 lb-ft (400 Nm) of torque. It will be partnered with a seven-speed, dual-clutch gearbox that will send the power to all four wheels. A 0-62 mph sprint should take around five seconds, with an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph.
The Mercedes CLA 45 AMG has been confirmed and will make its debut next September at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.
Last month we brought you photos of Mercedes’ answer to the BMW X1, in the form of a petite SUV aptly named the GLA.
Today, our good friends at GMotors captured the first photos of the new crossover’s AMG variant, the GLA 45 AMG while testing in Spain.
As was previously reported, the GLA will ride on the MFA platform that currently underpins the A- and B-Class. The AMG prototype in the photos reveals larger air intakes in the front bumper, bigger wheels, bigger brakes and, like in many other AMG prototypes in their early stages, one single exhaust on each side.
The AMG variant with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that develops approximately 335 HP (246 kW).
Thanks to Andrus and GMotors for the photos.
The first photo of the 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class without any camouflage has made its way to the web. The E-Class spied is likely the E63 AMG version based on the large alloy wheels, large air vents on the front bumper and the tell-tale red brake calipers. It has also been reported that the photographer, Víctor Gutiérrez Poza, also mentioned that he noticed a “V8 biturbo” logo on the front fender.
Based on what we have seen in previous spy photos and the latest photo, the 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class has received more than just a normal facelift. Instead it will receive extensive updates, including one-piece headlights with LEDs and bi-xenon, revised front grille and a new hood.
Also hinted at in the past few weeks is that the E63 AMG will be offered as standard with 4MATIC all-wheel drive and will produce 543 hp (405 kW) without an optional Performance Package. It will be capable of reaching 62 mph (100 km/h) in 3.4 seconds.

The 2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Cabrio was spied again wearing a heavy disguise and a false hardtop.
It looks like the top is sitting on top of something, as the edge between front window and roof doesn’t look to be fitting together. Most likely the S-Class Cabrio will feature a retractable soft top.
The new generation Mercedes S-Class saloon has been spied many times by now with very little disguise and is expected to debut in early 2013. The new S-Class Cabrio has still lot of testing ahead and should follow sometimes in 2014.

By 2020, Mercedes will be the best-selling and most profitable luxury-car brand, this is the hope of Chief Executive Dieter Zetsche. With all the new models we’ve been seeing lately, they are well on their way to take the lead or at minimum, close the gap with BMW and Audi.
In 2013 we will likely see the unveiling of the new CLA compact sedan based on the A-Cass, the new C-Class, facelifted E-Class and probably the S-Class, which will have five variants, including a coupe and a cabriolet.
Today, the prototype for the next generation C-Class AMG was photographed by some very stealthy spy photogs. The new C-Class will make a radical departure from the styling of the current model, will be lighter and packed with new safety technology. This will serve as an ideal platform to take the fight to the BMW M3 and Audi RS4 and RS5.
Instead of continuing with the 6.3-liter naturally aspirated V8, they will use the new twin-turbo 5.5-liter V8, like the one used by nearly the entire AMG family. There are currently four states of output for this engine. In the E63 AMG and CLS63 AMG, this means 525 hp in base configuration, which is what the C63 AMG will likely make now. However, it’s not inconceivable that a new lower output version with about 500 hp will be engineered.
According to Autoevolution, the ‘63’ name will be dropped, and the fast sedan will actually be called the C55 AMG. This is not that strange if AMG were to make two versions, like with the G-Class and SL-Class but we’ll wait to see.
Over the past couple of months, we’ve brought you spy photos of the future E-Class Saloon, Coupe, Estate, and even renderings. Today however, is the first time we have photos of the AMG model, the E63 AMG.
Testing near the Nürburgring, the Mercedes E63 AMG has a well disguised front bumper, but we are able to see single headlamp units with LED running light at the top.
We expect the 5.5-litre twin-turbo V8 to carry over from the current model with 517bhp in standard and 549bhp with the Performance Package.

The all-new Mercedes-Benz GLA compact SUV, seen in the spy photos testing is based on the new front and four-wheel drive MFA platform that is also being used for the new A- and B-Class.
The GLA became official, when at the start of production of the new A-class at Mercedes’ plant in Rastatt, Germany, the automaker said the factory would also be making a crossover.
As you can see in the photos, the prototype takes quite a few styling cues from the recently released A-Class. If you enlarge the photos however, you can see a wider and higher grille with two lines. Also new are the roof railings and the side window line is new.
According to GMotors, who also captured the spy photos, the GLA will span both front and four-wheel drive models and a similar engine line up to the new A-Class.
The Mercedes GLA will be in direct competition with the BMW X1, which is currently Europe’s best selling luxury crossover.
Back in June, we told you about the distinct possibility that Mercedes was in the process of developing a two-door S-Class Cabriolet. Thanks to the latest spy photos, we can confirm that yes, Mercedes is in the testing stages with their 2014 S-Class Cabriolet that is likely based on their Ocean Drive concept that was shown publically in 2007.
The fabric roof will be taken from the Ocean Drive Concept, however the production model will have only two doors instead of the concept’s four.

As for the engine choices in the S-Class convertible, we expect to see only a few of the engine options that are otherwise available in the standard S-Class model. The one engine we are pretty positive we will see however, is the V12 AMG.
The 2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Cabriolet will compete with models like the BMW 6-Series and the Bentley Continental Supersports Convertible.

The sneaky photogs over at AutoEvolution caught a glmpse of what is Mercedes’ plan to launch a crossover based on the same MFA modular architecture as the A-Class and B-Class, called the GLA. It will sit at the bottom of the Mercedes’ offroad range, all of which start with the letters ‘GL’. The “A” indicates that it is the smallest of the group.
The GLA became official recently, when at the start of production of the new A-class at Mercedes’ plant in Rastatt, Germany, the automaker said the factory would also be making a crossover.
The Mercedes GLA will be in direct competition with the BMW X1, which is currenlty Europe’s best selling luxury crossover.

According to Autoevolution, the full production versions will come with a body that’s only 110 mm longer than the standard A-Class. The engine options will most likely also be pulled from the A-Class, meaning a choice of small displacements turbocharged four-cylinder units with up to about 200 hp. An AMG version is also possible for the GLA, as its brother the A-Class will get a go-fast version.
In order to make a hatchback that can handle the Nürburgring, Mercedes handed the A-Class over to their AMG division. Adding a more rigid suspension, massive wheels and a body kit, all propelled by a new engine that utilizes F1 technology and a Heldex all-wheel drive system.
The new Mercedes A45 AMG has been at the Nürburgring undergoing testing and as you can see from the photos captured by a spy photographer, the testing didn’t quite go as planned.

Mercedes A45 AMG Crashes at Nürburgring
The Mercedes A 45 AMG prototype, with its new 330bhp 2.0-litre turbo engine and all-wheel-drive system with AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT 7-speed dual clutch transmission, crashed on the Nordschleife in a very high speed part of the ring. According to eyewitnesses, the car was doing over 100 mph, when it came out of the Fuchsröhre, and then crashed into the right guardrail. The front end was heavily damaged, as were parts of the rear and the front window. The airbags were also deployed, which is probably a large part of why the driver was not injured and walked away from the car on his own.

Mercedes A45 AMG Crashes at Nürburgring
The Mercedes A 45 AMG is scheduled for its public debut in early 2013. Also interesting to note is that one of the emergency vehicles is a Dodge, strange considering the Nürburgring’s location. Thanks to our good friend Andrus and GMotors.co.uk for the tip.
The sneaky photogs over at GMotors captured a few exterior and interior images of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class Estate’s Facelift. The last time we saw the future E-Class Estate in spy photos, it was touring the streets in July. This time testing the facelifted E-Class was testing at the Nürburgring.
The interior photos reveal an updated steering wheel and a few minor changes; a different air conditioning and a new wood trim. Mercedes has yet to show us the center console and dashboard and has instead kept it covered. So, there are either some major changes hiding under the covering or Mercedes hasn’t changed much at all and just want to keep us speculating.

2013 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Estate Interior Spy Photo
Major updates that can be seen are the newly shaped bumper and a new grille that is wider. The headlights, however, are the biggest change – twin headlamps will be replaced with a single headlamp design that incorporates LED daytime running lights. The tail lights and bumper will be revised as well.
In case you are falling in love with the facelifted E-Class, you won’t have to wait to long, it is expected to hit the market in early 2013.
Leaked images of the 2013 Mercedes-Benz S-Class have hit the web, and thanks to our good friend Markus, we have them for you.
The images shown here, click to enlarge to full screen, seem to have come from the development department of Mercedes-Benz and show the rear view, giving us an good idea of what we can expect from the future S-Class.

As a reminder of what to expect on the inside, here is one of the interior spy photos we brought you last month. The interior photos of the next-generation Mercedes S-Class interior leave little to the imagination, we can see an updated digital dashboard, automatic gearshift on the right side of the steering wheel, new steering wheel, vents, aluminium and wood trim. Click to see more of the interior of the future S-Class.

Back in June, we brought you the first photos and details of the Mercedes A45 AMG, powered by a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbo engine designed specifically for the model. It has been know for a while that a four-door coupe based on the same platform was set to go on sale next year and thanks to recent spy photos, we now know that there will also be an AMG version as well. The four door coupe is rumored to be called the CLA Class, so for the time being, we will dub the AMG variant the CLA45.
AMG engineers have been hiding the chassis beneath the body of a B Class, though now in the very first photos of the CLA AMG, we are able see the prototypes final shape.
Based on the spy photos from GMotors, engineers at Mercedes have begun testing a CLA AMG with the same engine as the A45 AMG. The camouflaged CLA seems to be sporting larger brakes, single exhausts which are only temporary and seen on most AMG prototypes, and lastly a lower front bumper with larger air intakes.
Power will come from a 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder that will deliver over 330 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. Thanks to an AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, drive will be sent to all four wheels. Ensuring the car also handles well, a custom sports suspension setup with independently developed front and rear axles, as well as electromechanical AMG speed-sensitive steering will be utilized.
Performance numbers of the CLA45 AMG are still just speculation but, as you’d expect from any AMG vehicle, we will not be disappointed. We will likely see a 0-60 mph time right around 4.6-5 seconds, and a top speed limited to 155 mph.
Thanks to Jack for the tip and GMotors for the photos. Stay tuned as we will continue to bring you more photos and information as it becomes available.
Thanks to our friends at GMotors, we have the latest round of S-Class Spy photos. Mercedes engineers have been testing the new S-Class for quite a while and this time around, the photogs believe it is the Mercedes S63 AMG, featuring the new AMG-style squared double exhaust outlets they caught.
Besides the AMG-style squared double exhaust outlets, noticeable features include larger brake discs, bigger air intakes and an updated new bumpers, when compared to the standard S-Class.
Power is expected to come from the recently introduced M157 twin-turbo 5.5-litre engine that produces up to 571bhp.
The Mercedes SLS AMG Black Series has been busy out on the roads and on the Nurburgring testing recently. With all its testing, multiple spy photographers to capture a first look at the Black Series model well ahead of its debut later this year.
Based on the videos, we can see that the SLS AMG Black Series will stand apart from the standard SLS AMG by sporting a more aggressive widebody kit and a exaggerated rear diffuser. Though unconfirmed, additional upgrades will include high performance brakes and a sport-tuned suspension along with AMG’s naturally aspirated 6.3-liter V8 unit that will output more than 600 hp.
This is likely just the beginning of spy photos and information to be released, stay tuned.
The clever spy photographers across the pond at GMotors have managed to capture the first, nearly undisguised, interior photos of the 2013 S-Class. Last week we brought you a video of the future S-Class testing in Spain, revealing its larger grille, singular headlamps and overall shape. The interior photos of the next-generation Mercedes S-Class interior leave little to the imagination, we can see an updated digital dashboard, automatic gearshift on the right side of the steering wheel, new steering wheel, vents, aluminium and wood trim.
As always, thank to our good friends at GMotors for sharing their photos with us.
