Mercedes-Benz ML Coupe Spied

Answering BMW's X6, Mercedes is working on a ML Coupe and it has recently been spied testing in Nevada.

Answering BMW’s X6, Mercedes is working on a ML Coupe and it has recently been spied testing in Nevada.

According to the plate, the test mule is registered in Michigan, so either the cold front is to cold for summer testing or they’re testing the long range comfort and durability of the SUV Coupe.

The ML-Class, even with all of it’s camo, is a clear spin-off of the Concept Coupe SUV unveiled at the Beijing Motor Show earlier this year.

“The BMW X6-rivalling ML Coupe looks set to carry over that design study’s gaping grille and full width lower air intake. There’ll also be a sloping roofline, which plunges dramatically towards the rear of the car, plus sculpted flanks similar to those on the GLA.” Auto Express

2015 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Estate Prototypes

the C63 AMG will be powered by a twin-turbo V8 4.0-liter engine

The spy photographers over at WCF were able to catch the 2015 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Estate prototypes undergoing testing on the Nürburgring.  (check out the photo gallery below)

Allegedly set for a September 24 online reveal in both sedan an estate body styles, the C63 AMG will be powered by a twin-turbo V8 4.0-liter engine. In the AMG GT it will generate 462 PS (340 kW) and 510 PS (375 kW) in the AMG GT-S while the C63 AMG’s output is probably going to be somewhere in the middle. There are also talks about an S-Model variant with slightly more PS but this still hasn’t been confirmed yet.

The C63 AMGs will get the usual ingredients from Affalterbach such as a slightly more aggressive body with bigger vents, muscular wheel arches, lower sports suspension and a quad pipe setup. The cars will also boast enlarged brakes and several cabin tweaks to better differentiate the AMG model from the standard version.

Mercedes-Benz plans on expanding the C63 AMG lineup in the years to come with similar versions of the yet unreleased coupe and cabriolet body styles. Before that, the sedan and wagon will go public in October at the Paris Motor Show, with sales to commence before the end of the year.

Mercedes C63 AMG Spied in China

The upcoming Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Sedan has been spied up close in China ahead of a full reveal allegedly scheduled for September 24.

The upcoming Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Sedan has been spied up close in China ahead of a full reveal allegedly scheduled for September 24.

The white prototype was spotted wearing a minimal amount of camouflage and the photographers were able to snap a few shots of the interior cabin which had leather-wrapped sport seats and a different speedometer going all the way up to 320 km/h (199 mph). On the outside it had the usual AMG ingredients such as the beefier bumpers, larger alloys, a quad exhaust setup and a lowered sports suspension.

Power will be provided by a newly developed twin-turbo V8 4.0-liter engine sourced from the AMG GT. In the latter it will churn 510 PS (375 kW) and 479 lb-ft (650 Nm) but most likely AMG’s engineers will offer a slightly detuned version in the C63 AMG with approximately 480 PS (353 kW) and slightly more in the rumored S-Model that will also come with revised styling and larger brakes.

A public debut which will also include the estate version will occur at the beginning of October during the Paris Motor Show when Mercedes-Benz will also open up the order books. Deliveries should kick off before the end of the year or early 2015.

2015 Mercedes CLS Spied As Never Before

This is the first time we've seen the 2015 Mercedes CLS nearly undisguised and ready for production.

We’ve seen camouflaged photos of the upcoming CLS and even videos, but this is the first time we’ve seen the 2015 Mercedes CLS nearly undisguised and ready for production.

The facelifted CLS has been fitted with aggressive bumpers, which could mean that this particular prototype is wearing an AMG package. There is also a revised grille and modified headlights and taillights on the new CLS.

Spy photos of the interior show a similar layout to the current CLS but with a new steering wheel with metallic accents. The 2015 model will also feature a freestanding COMAND display that is significantly larger than its predecessor.

Under the hood, engine options will carryover from the current CLS with a range of petrol and diesel options.

2015 Mercedes GLK Spied in Dubai

Mercedes-Benz hot weather testing on the streets of Dubai

Last week it was the CLA Shooting Brake and this week on the streets of Dubai, the Mercedes-Benz GLK out running tests.

The second generation Mercedes GLK will likely be introduced to the market in September 2015 and will be followed up by a GLK Coupe the following year with AMG models following in the later half of 2016.

With the introduction of the GLA, the GLK is no longer Mercedes’ entry level SUV.  This means that like the C-Class, the GLK will need to grow slightly to distance itself from its new baby brother.  The added space will mean more legroom for rear passengers and likely a bit larger trunk space.

Another change that will be seen on the new generation GLK will be a sportier more sloped roofline and longer hood giving itself an updated appearance.

Engines in the GLK will include a new 4-cylinder 1.8-liter turbocharged in the GLk250 while the economical BlueTec 250 will continue with the 4-cylinder 2.1-liter diesel. Also watch for a V6-powered GLK 350.

Mercedes CLA Shooting Brake Spied in Dubai

Close-up photos of the Mercedes CLA Shooting Brake while it was undergoing some serious warm weather endurance testing in Dubai.

Indian Autos Blog reader, Mr. Nithin Kumar, sent IAB close-up photos of the Mercedes CLA Shooting Brake while it was undergoing some serious warm weather endurance testing in Dubai.

Mercedes CLA Shooting Brake

Mercedes CLA Shooting Brake

The CLA Shooting Brake, the fifth member of the New Generation Compact Car series, is the estate derivative based on the CLA sedan. The unveiling of the CLA Shooting Brake will likely take place by the end of this year.

The CLA Shooting Brake is a combination of the CLA sedan with a low-slung estate roof inspired by the CLS Shooting Brake.  Under the hood, engines will be borrowed from the A and CLA Class, which use four-cylinder petrol and diesel motors. While the diesel motors range in displacement from 1.5-liters to 2.2-liters, the petrols displace between 1.6- and 2.0-liters. No word yet if a performance-oriented CLA Shooting Brake AMG happen.

Mercedes-Benz ML 63 AMG Coupe Spied

Mercedes-Benz ML 63 AMG Coupe will go head-to-head with the BMW X6

The second batch of spy photos with the SUV that will likely be dubbed the Mercedes-Benz ML 63 AMG Coupe as the star have made their way on the web.  The AMG SUV will likely come out for 2016 as a competitor for the X6.

Check the gallery below for a look at the spy photos.

Hidden under all the camo in the spy photos is a more aggressive body kit and a quad exhaust arrangement in typical AMG fashion.

The  will ride on the same platform as the M-Class but will boast a stiffer suspension setup along with beefier alloy wheels. Chances are under the hood AMG’s engineers will install a 5.5-liter V8 twin-turbo from the ML 63 AMG which will churn 525 PS (386 kW) and 516 lb-ft (699 Nm) in standard guise and 558 PS (410 kW) and 560 lb-ft (758 Nm) in what will probably be an S-Model.

Mercedes ML63 AMG Facelift Spy Photos

First photos of the Mercedes ML63 AMG due out in October sporting its upcoming facelift

The WCF spies have managed to snap the first batch of spy photos of the facelifted Mercedes-Benz ML 63 AMG .

Though the facelifted M-Class was spied several times before, this is the first time we can see what is being done to the AMG version that will debut in October at the Paris Motor Show alongside the standard version. The prototype seen in the spy photos was spotted doing handling tests in southern Europe.

Mercedes ML63 AMG

Mercedes ML63 AMG

Facelift changes shown are minimal since due to the heavy camo at the front, but you will likely see the M-Class facelift showing far more significant changes when the camo is dropped. Although the taillights don’t have any camouflage over them, they will most likely be tweaked as well and we expect to find different character lines, a single-bar front grille and updated headlights with a daytime running light bar.

Under the hood, we are unlikely to see any changes, which means the ML 63 AMG facelift will use the V8 5.5-liter twin-turbo which churns 525 PS (386 kW) and 699 Nm (516 lb-ft) in standard guise and 558 PS (410 kW) and 758 Nm (560 lb-ft) when configured with the optional AMG Performance Package. With the latter, the high-performance SUV needs 4.6 seconds until 60 mph (96 km/h) and can hit a top speed of 174 mph (280 km/h) while the standard ML 63 AMG is 0.1s slower in the sprint and is electronically-capped at 155 mph (250 km/h).

New Mercedes-Benz C-Class Estate Spy Photos Best Yet

Over the last couple of months, we’ve spied the new Mercedes-Benz C-Class as an estate, convertible, AMG, S-Model, etc. and the spy photos are continuing this week – this time on the estate, the best spy shots of any C-Class shots so far, with the least camouflage.

2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Estate

2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Estate

The Mercedes-Benz C-Class Estate was spied testing in Southern Europe wearing camo in the rear, hiding the taillights and the side windows.  The front of the estate is identical in-production C-Class saloon.

According to GMotors, the Mercedes-Benz C-Class engine range for the estate will carry over from the saloon and from launch we can expect three different units:
-C 220 BlueTEC with a 170bhp 2.2-litre 4-cylinder diesel
-C 180 with a 156bhp 1.6-litre petrol
-C 200 with a 184bhp 2.0-litre petrol

First Spy Photos of the 2015 Mercedes-Benz M-Class

First facelifted photos of the Mercedes-Benz M-Class have emerged

The most current-generation M-CLass (W166) went into production in 2011 and now it seems Mercedes has begun facelifting the M-Class.

The sneaky photogs over at GMotors spied the M-Class facelift prototype testing in South Germany with a black and white camouglage. Though the front is heavily disguised, which may mean we’ll see major changes up front.

Mercedes-Benz M-Class Facelift

The camouflage looks like it may be covering a revised bonnet, new headlights, new grille and new bumper. The front grille already reveals little of the new frame.

The rear looks identical to the current model, though we can expect new exhaust tips and even new light graphics there.

Stay tuned as more photos emerge.

Mercedes C63 AMG “S” Model in the Works

The Mercedes C63 AMG will be joined by a more powerful and slightly restyled "S" Model

The Mercedes C63 AMG Sedan, which will be unveiled in October, is set to receive its power from a V8 4.0-liter twin-turbo engine that’s capable of outputting around 480 bhp (358 kW) – but that’s the standard model. LeftLaneNews recently reported that a source close to Mercedes-Benz revealed to them that there will be a more powerful “S” version with larger brakes and different interior & exterior styling.

None of the two cars will be offered with a dual-clutch transmission since Coupled with high-developement costs and the fact that Mercedes-Benz doesn’t believe there is enough customer demand for a dual-clutch transmission, neither the standard AMG nor a “S” model will be offered as such.

Check out spy photos of the C63 AMG here.

Testing for the 2015 Mercedes C63 AMG has moved South, previously caught winter testing in the Arctic, the C63 AMG is now showing off on the Nürburgring.  Still sporting similar amounts of camo as in Sweden, you can still catch a glimpse of the C63 AMG Saloon’s new bumpers, bonnet, side skirt, spoiler and boot lid.  And of course the prominent black alloys.

2015 CLA45 AMG Shooting Brake Spied

we have the very first pictures of the hot CLA 45 AMG Shooting Brake showing off its AMG updates

Thanks to our good friend Andrus, we have the very first pictures of the hot CLA 45 AMG Shooting Brake.  AMG updates seen in the photos include the undisguised front bumper with bigger air intakes, front lip spoiler, rear bumper with quad exhausts and also side skirts. We still can’t get a good look at the rear due to minor covering, but we are still able to see the over all roof design in the back.

Everything else shown is identical to the “standard” CLA 45 AMG saloon.

Under the hood is also the same 355bhp 2.0-litre four cylinder turbo petrol linked to a seven-speed dual clutch transmission and a 4MATIC all-wheel drive system.

Mercedes C63 AMG Spied Up Close Revealing New Details

Interior and Exterior spy photos of the new Mercedes C63 AMG Reveal a beefed up luxury car that will not disappoint

Last week we were treated to the very first spy photos of the C63 AMG Estate and a side by side look at the outgoing and incoming C63 AMG Sedan.  Now today, we have a close up look at the sedan as never before seen.

It is clear that the highly anticipated, and one of my favorite AMG models, will receive an aggressive body update with sizable air intakes, bulked up side skirts and of course a quad exhaust with AMG alloy wheels.

The interior of the C63 AMG will be updated but without any major changes, carrying over quite a bit from the new standard C-Class.

2015 Mercedes C63 AMG Interior

Mercedes C63 AMG Interior

While the exterior and interior updates look great, what really matters on a Mercedes C63 AMG is what’s under the hood, and Mercedes did not disappoint.  The hot C-Class will be powered by a V8 4.0 Liter Twin-Turbo Engine that can output around 450 HP with a possible Black version delivering closer to 500 HP.

The C63 AMg will have it’s official reveal this year and go on sale in early 2015.  It will then be followed up by an Estate and likely a coupe and cabriolet.

2015 Mercedes-Benz B-Class Spied With Exterior Facelift

The 2015 Mercedes-Benz B-Class was spied winter testing with an exterior facelift

It’s been nearly three years since the completely overhauled Mercedes-Benz B-Class was introduced so it only makes sense that we are starting to see spy photos of the sports tourer with a facelift.

2015 Mercedes-Benz B-Class

2015 Mercedes-Benz B-Class

Spied doing a bit of cold weather testing, the updated B-Class looks to have an updated front bumper, grille, head and taillights. If you look at the rear photos of the bumper, you can also see a more integrated exhaust system.

We’ve yet to come across interior photos but, like the exterior, a few minor changes with updates focused on the infotainment system.

Under the hood, options will remain the same with changes to the engine including improved performance and better fuel mileage.

Side by Side Look at the New and Old C63 AMG Sedan

2015 Mercedes C63 AMG Sedan Spied testing alongside outgoing model

Just yesterday we brought you the very first photos of the Mercedes C63 AMG Estate, and to ensure it isn’t forgotten, as if it could be, spy photos of the C63 AMG Sedan have emerged.  Sporting minimal camo, the 2015 C63 AMG Sedan was out testing with the outgoing model.  Thanks to the side-by-side comparison, it was easy to notice the smaller spoiler lip on the trunk, a more modest body kit and quad exhaust.

C63 AMG Spy Photos

Mercedes C63 AMGs

But the body styling isn’t what truly makes the C63 AMG what it is, it’s what’s under the hood.  In this case, the 2015 C63 AMG Sedan will receive the newly developed V8 4.0 liter twin turbo engine that is capable of 450 HP (331 kW) and in the event of a possible Black Series, those numbers jump to 500+ HP.

No word yet on when we will see an AMG coupe or cabriolet, but rest assured that they’ll come sooner or later and we’ll bring you details when they do.
