Being the first Mercedes AMG rolled out as Mercedes next generation of compact cars, the emphasis was already on power and driving dyanmics.  And anyone that has had an opportunity to drive the A45 AMG would agree that Mercedes nailed it when it comes to performance.  Fitting it with a 4-cylinder 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that’s capable of delivering 360 HP (265 kW) and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) of torque.

The engineers from mcchip-dkr felt they could get more from the powerful compact Mercedes AMG and so they launched an upgrade kit for the Mercedes A45 AMG.  bumping output to to 400 HP (294 kW) and 535 Nm (394 lb-ft) in their stage 1 kit thanks to software optimization. In their stage 2 kit, power is increased to 420 HP (309 kW) while torque remains the same at 535 Nm (394 lb-ft) and includes the software optimization and sports catalysts.

And if you need more, mcchip-dkr offers a stage 3 kit the output to a whopping 450 HP (331 kW) and 550 Nm (405 lb-ft) thanks to the addition of turbocharger upgrades in addition to the software mods and sports catalysts.

McChip Mercedes SLS AMG Receives Upgraded Tuning Program

The McChip tuning program increased the power level up to an impressive 706 HP and 585 lb-ft of torque

The German aftermarket specialists, McChip, have updated their tuning program for the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, by adding even more power.

The previously released McChip MC700 compressor kit included a mechanically driven compressor and a performance-enhancing high-end exhaust system that was developed in cooperation with Capristo Exhaust Systems. These additions increased the 6.2-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine’s power level up to an impressive 680 HP and 567 lb-ft of torque. Adding the extra 109 HP set you back 69,900 Euros, or around $808 dollars each per HP.

But now, the specialist from Mcchip-Dkr have achieved an even more impressive number. Increasing the output with a program dubbed “stage 4” the SLS AMG output has been upped to 706 HP (519 kW) and 793 Nm (585 lb-ft). McChip managed this by installing a custom exhaust system, sports catalytic converters and performing engine software tweaks. The entire power upgrade package will cost you 78,999 EUR.

In addition to the massive power boost, a hydraulically-controlled DDC or HLS 4-sports chassis made by KW is available for 12,999 EUR. CoverEFX is selling this complete matte grey/red foliation for an extra 5,999 EUR.

The German engineers from McChip-DKR revealed unveiled their MC700 package for the Mercedes SLS 63 AMG.  The SLS 63 AMG, in its standard version, delivers a total of 571 HP, satisfying even the most power hungry. But, for the few not satisfied with what the SLS 63 AMG has to offer, McChip-DKR took horsepower to a new level.

McChip’s new MC700 compressor kit is available in two upgrade options. The first option includes a mechanically driven compressor and a performance-enhancing high-end exhaust system that was developed in cooperation with Capristo Exhaust Systems. Available only for the export versions, the second upgrade level includes additional sports catalyzers and energetic stage 4 software. Reaching 706 HP will cost you 78,999 Euros, $99,000 at the current exchange rates.
