Lorinser Unveils Their Mercedes CLS Shooting Brake

The Lorinser CLS Shooting Brake combines dynamic design with efficient aerodynamics

There is nothing we can’t do! This is Lorinser’s motto for its comprehensive range of parts for the current CLS X218. The company, based in the south of Germany, has been developing and manufacturing products for personalising Mercedes vehicles from as far back as 1981. In doing so, the innovative Sportservice Lorinser team draws advantage from its experience with just about every Mercedes series. The skills gained form an optimal base for the launch of the exclusive range of modification options for the Mercedes CLS estate wagon. The result is impressive, both in terms of looks and sound: lift-reducing aerodynamic components, significantly enhanced performance, stainless steel exhaust systems with a sporty sound, striking 19 and 20-inch alloy wheels and superior interior modifications make for individualised series vehicles.

Bodywork finishes in proven quality

Lorinser combines dynamic design with efficient aerodynamics. The result is sensational stylishness with optimised air flow across the vehicle outline. The shapes of the sporty and striking front spoiler bumper blend impeccably with the wider wings. Together with the rear skirt the Lorinser body components ensure reduced lift while providing a new, attractive overall appearance. The Lorinser side skirts form an optical link between the front and rear. The tailor-made body kit is mounted on the serial attachment points, and is available from 6,176.00 Euro (incl. German VAT).

Optimised performance for stretching the limits and improved driving enjoyment The range of performance enhancements offered by Lorinser is just as extensive as the selection of Mercedes engines. For example, Sportservice offers optimised ECUs for the CLS 350 BlueEFFICIENCY, which results in an engine output of 322 HP / 237 kW at 6200 RPM. At the same time the maximum torque increases to 400 Nm between 2900 and 5000 RPM. In this connection, Lorinser has also lifted the limit of 250 km/h, allowing the car to reach an impressive speed of 265 km/h. The output of the 350 CDI the Sportservice increases to 305 hp / 224 kW at 4.100 rpm. At the same time, torque rises to 695 Nm with revs of 1.600 to 2.900 rpm.

Lorinser sport rear silencers that have been aligned to the different performance kits are also available. The range includes four-pipe systems, which ensure a full and powerful sound.

Sporty or elegant

The Lorinser rim range has been created entirely according to the requirements of Mercedes customers. Be it sporty and striking, or elegant and sophisticated – Lorinser offers various wheel designs and sizes. The RS8 is a 19-inch wheel with turbine look. The recommended wheel/tyre combination comprises 8.5Jx19-inch rims with 255/35ZR19 tyres for the front and 9.5Jx19-inch rims with 285/30ZR19 tyres for the rear.

The RS8 tyre is also available in a 20-inch design. In this instance, Lorinser recommends using 9.0Jx20-inch wheels with 255/30ZR20 tyres for the front axle and 10.0Jx20-inch wheels with 295/25ZR20 tyres for the rear axle.

Highest technical requirements combined with sporty elegance set the RSK6 designer wheel apart from other light-alloy wheels. The multi-part alloy rim with five spokes and stainless steel connecting bolts boasts a sophisticated look as well as excellent finishes. The wheel comes in dimensions of 8.5Jx19 inches and 9.5Jx19 inches as well as in 9,0Jx20 and 10,0Jx20.

Lorinser recommends using high-performance tyres from its technology partner, Continental.

The vehicle suspension springs, which lower the centre of gravity of the sport limousine by around 25 millimetres on the front and rear axles, add to its sporty appearance. A car lowering set for vehicles with Airmatic is currently being tested.

Interior with perfected technology

As a supplement to existing interiors available ex-plant, Lorinser offers stylish accessories such as aluminium pedals and door sills with an illuminated Lorinser logo. On request, Lorinser offers everything that makes car aficionados’ hearts beat faster – from a personalised set of floor mats to a complete leather interior – and all with precision craftsmanship.

Lorinser Releases S70 6.0 V12 Bi-Turbo Based on the Mercedes S600

Lorinser has revealed their brand new two-tone Mercedes S-Class project dubbed the S70 6.0 V-12 Bi-turbo

Lorinser’s latest creation (and possibly the most powerful S-Class on the planet) has just been revealed, and it’s officially been named the S70. The Lorinser S70 6.0 V12 Bi-Turbo is based on the Mercedes-Benz 600 but was given a host of updates. Lorisner added bigger turbochargers, a high performance exhaust, a remapped ECU and several other tweaks as well. As a result, the S70 offers up a whopping 805 PS (592 kW / 794 hp) and 1270 Nm (937 lb-ft) of torque, with a limited electronically to a top speed of 186 mph.  For those who hate to be limited, this can be increased to 205mph upon request.

To keep the Mercedes S-Class from meeting an unpleasant demise at such high speeds and to improve stability, Lorinser reinforced the axles and differential, complimented with a set of matte black 20-inch RSK6 alloy wheels. Adding to the uniqueness of the Lorinser S70 is a two-tone paint job and body kit consisting of front spoiler, side skirts, air dams, roof and boot-lid spoiler and rear diffuser.

The interior of the S70 remained relatively true to the original S-Class, but does include custom upholstered Nappa leather and wood in black lacquer in addition to the Lorinser crests found on the head rests, seats, steering wheel and the updated instrument cluster.

The German tuners from Lorinser released the first images of their 2011 Mercedes-Benz CLS upgrade program which we saw as a sketch nearly a year ago. The only addition we see from the sketches to the finished product is the bonnet, which didn’t receive the vents seen in the drawings.

Lorinser’s body kit for the 2011 Mercedes CLS C218 includes a new aerodynamic kit with bumper extensions, new side air vents, side skirts, and rear boot lid and roof spoilers, all providing the car with an AMG-like styling. Lorinser also gave the Mercedes CLS new front fenders with vents for cooling the brakes and a new exhaust system with four squared tail pipes.

Lorinser’s program for the 2011 Mercedes C218 CLS also include two new sets of rims, available in a silver a matte black finish. The four door coupe received a matte gray paint job and the car looks to have received a suspension lowering too.

2012 Mercedes-Benz CLS Tuner Concept by Lorinser

Sports dress for the next generation Mercedes-Benz CLS – Lorinser grants a first glance at its designer version

The redesigned Mercedes-Benz CLS will be available for delivery to customers in 2011. German Mercedes tuner Lorinser, released a rendering showing they are already working on options to individualise the technology and design for the new CLS. Lorinser is starting its work well in advance of the release of the CLS to insure a well thought out concept that provides the four-door sports-limousine with a stylish and cutting edge profile. Because upgrading a vehicle that is not yet for sale can be quite difficult, a well trained expert staff is needed and Lorinser is up to the challenge.

“We will distribute our tuning-version globally in 45 countries, therefore a sophisticated body-design is required.”, explained Marcus Lorinser, owner of Sportservice Lorinser. The Lorinser-interpretation emphasises the sportive features with strikingly impressive innovation. Large air intake grills characterise the distinctive appearance of the front-end and enable an optimal fresh air supply to engine and brakes. The extended fenders not only enhance the masculine appearance of the car, but also provide space for the 21-inch light-alloy wheels.

But not only the styling will be optimised: Chassis, engine and interior is also upgraded at Lorinser-manufacturing. Featuring these upgrades, the Lorinser-CLS will advance to “eye candy” on the luxury boulevards of all major cities.
