VÄTH Launches Tuning Program for the Mercedes-Benz C-Class

With the VÄTH V25 tuning kit, the original 204 HP engine on the Mercedes C250 CGI has been increased to 255 HP

For three centuries, VÄTH has been tuning vehicles under the motto “Good optimising” and they have proved once again why they are one of the best with their latest tuning kit for the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, specifically the C250 CGI. With the V25 tuning kit, the performance of the original 204 HP engine with an unchanged hub room size of 1 796 cm³ has been increased using motor technology to 255 HP (188 kW) and 370 Nm torque. This translates to a new maximum speed of 260km/h, which should in no way be underestimated.

In combination with the VÄTH charged air cooler and the VÄTH sports exhaust system, the C-Class can reach 270 HP!

In addition to the motor-technical improvements, the external appearance of the C-class is part of the obligatory program at VÄTH. The C-Class presented here has been upgraded with special modifications to the coveted C63 AMG optic:

  • Tuned aerodynamically and visually with the VÄTH Carbon Motor bonnet
  • Carbon Front Spoiler Lip
  • Rear Diffsor made from carbon
  • Trunk Spoiler.

Car lowering and a great set of wheels perfect the sporty silhouette.

These are weight-optimised tailored rims 8.5×19 inches in size at the front and 9.5×19 inches at the bank, covered with 235/35ZR19 and 265/30ZR19. The brake system has been adjusted to the new additions to be able to bring the vehicle to a stop much in much less time: 360 mm braking discs with 6 piston fixed gauges at the front and 320 mm braking discs with 4 piston fixed gauges at the back do their job reliably under any circumstances.

A complete running gear worthy of a racecourse has also been built in and has height and strength adjustible buffers as well as progressively harmonised springs so that the car drives comfortably on the one hand but still extremely precisely on the road.

On the inside, carbon can again be found in combination with an Alcantara roof interior lining.

Mercedes-Benz C-Class Models with Direct Injection the Most Efficient C-Class’ Ever

The C220 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY features a 170 hp powerplant and can accelerate from 0-62 mph in 8.4 seconds

Mercedes-Benz would like to remind you today that the new C-Class is the most economical C-Class ever.  Thanks to three direct-injection models – the C220 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY, the C250 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY and the C250 CGI BlueEFFICIENCY – you can enjoy fuel consumption of just 4.8 liters, 5.1 liters and 7.2 liters (per 100 kilometers), respectively.  For my American readers, that’s about 49 mpg, 46 mpg and 32 mpg, respectively.

Despite the impressive fuel economy, each of the models still boasts impressive performance.  The C220 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY features a 170 hp powerplant and can accelerate from 0-62 mph in 8.4 seconds, the C250 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY features a 204 hp powerplant and can accelerate from 0-62 mph in 7.0 seconds, and the C250 CGI BlueEFFICIENCY features a 204 hp powerplant and can accelerate from 0-62 mph in 7.4 seconds.

Also, each of the engine variants can be had in either saloon or estate versions.

Before you get too excited, it’s important to note that these figures apply to the European market, so if you’re one of the many U.S. residents reading the site, your options are severely limited.  Specifically, your best option at present is the C300, which features a 228 hp powerplant and fuel mileage of 18 city / 25 highway.
