BRABUS G V12 900 – Limited Edition “1 of 10”

The BRABUS G V12 900 "ONE OF TEN" will be built in a limited edition of just ten vehicles

The world’s most powerful twelve-cylinder off-roader once more comes from BRABUS! The BRABUS G V12 900 “ONE OF TEN” will be built in a limited edition of just ten vehicles. Fifteen years after the presentation of the first BRABUS G V12 at the Geneva Motor Show 2004, the development engineers of BRABUS again implanted a twin-turbo V12 high-performance engine into the body of the Mercedes G-Class the BRABUS way. Albeit, this time into the current W 463A model series.

The 6.3-liter increased-displacement engine producing an output of 662 kW / 900 hp (888 bhp) and 1,500 Nm (1,106 lb-ft) of torque is mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. It gives the new supercar a performance on the road that is unique for an off-roader tipping the scales at no less than 2,660 kilograms. With a zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint time of just 3.8 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 280 km/h (174 mph), the BRABUS G V12 900 “ONE OF TEN” is the fasest road car of this model series ever built.

Of course, the new high-performance off-roader captivates not only with its tremendous power and with the exceptional road performance for a vehicle of this category. The vehicle body is enhanced with the spectacular BRABUS WIDESTAR widebody, which creates space for BRABUS “PLATINUM EDITION” hi-tech forged wheels with a diameter of 23 inches or, new, also 24-inch diameter. The electronically adjustable BRABUS Dynamic Ride Control suspension offers an ideal combination of outstanding ride quality and safe, agile handling.

An exclusive BRABUS fine leather interior rounds off the luxurious appointments of the BRABUS G V12 900 “ONE OF TEN”.

POWER & SOUND. EXPLOSIVE POWER DELIVERY.

Before the twelve-cylinder engine, which normally powers the Mercedes S 600 L with a rated output of 390 kW / 530 hp (523 bhp), was fitted into the engine bay of the current G-Class, it was thoroughly revised in our BRABUS hi-tech engine shop using state-of-the-art machining equipment. The installation of a special billet BRABUS crankshaft with longer stroke and the combination of larger cylinder bores, matching forged pistons and special precision-balanced billet connecting rods result in a displacement increase from stock 6.0 to 6.3 liters (366 to 384 cu in).

Changes to the engine peripherals also play a major role in the tremendous power output. The two production turbos are replaced by turbos with larger compressor unit and modified exhaust manifolds, which produce a higher boost pressure than the production components. The conversion includes downpipes with a diameter of 80 millimeters (3.1 in), free-flow metal catalysts and a BRABUS stainless high-performance exhaust system with actively controlled flaps. Thanks to the integrated sound management, the driver can choose between a throaty V12 exhaust note in ‘Sport’ mode and the discreet sound in “Coming Home” mode. The all- stainless exhaust system is also a visual treat. The two black-chromed tailpipes on the IAA show car exiting in front of the rear wheels on either side also add some visually thrilling highlights

Just as important is an optimal air supply for the engine. To this end, the BRABUS power unit engineers developed the BRABUS 900 intake module. The new intake manifold includes a special air filter box with larger cross-section and special filters, as well as “Gold Heat Reflection” sheathing to lower the temperature.

The reprogrammed engine electronics with special mapping for injection and ignition as well a modified boost pressure control coordinate the perfect interaction of the high-performance components and in this way lend the high-end engine a unique combination of explosive power delivery and the hallmark smooth running of a V12. Technology partner MOTUL supplies the hi-tech lubricants for the entire powertrain.

As the result of the extensive work, the BRABUS 900 6.3 V12 Biturbo engine delivers unparalleled performance figures: The peak output of 662 kW / 900 hp (888 bhp) is on tap at a low 5,500 rpm. Even more phenomenal is the peak torque of 1,500 Nm (1,106 lb-ft) at 4,200 rpm. This figure is limited electronically in the vehicle to 1,200 Nm (885 lb-ft).

The power is sent to all four wheels by a nine-speed automatic transmission, which can be shifted even more precisely with the BRABUS RACE paddle shifters on the steering wheel.

The vehicle performance speaks for itself: From rest, the BRABUS G V12 900 “ONE OF TEN” shoots to 62 mph in just 3.8 seconds. The top speed is electronically limited to 174 mph. Accordingly, the new supercar is also equipped with a BRABUS speedometer with 186-mph scale.

EXTERIEUR: SPECTACULAR IN EVERY REGARD.

A wider track optimizes the handling and driving safety at these speeds and consequently the new supercar is fitted with the thrilling BRABUS WIDESTAR widebody. The strikingly styled fender flares add ten centimeters (4 in) to the width of the body and thereby offer plenty of space for massive forged wheels with diameters of 23 or 24 inches

The bodywork modifications also captivate with the BRABUS fasciae at the front and rear, which precisely transition into the WIDESTAR fenders. The front element is fitted with large air intakes to provide the engine, radiators and brakes with the necessary supply of fresh air. The stylized skid plate on this supercar is made of naked carbon.

The auxiliary LED lights under the side air intakes, which on the show car are also made of naked carbon, add to the dynamic looks and optimize the active safety at the same time. The hood is given a striking upgrade with a carbon attachment featuring two integrated power bulges. This also creates space for the large V12. The BRABUS Branding Package with illuminated BRABUS logo for the radiator grille with carbon surround and additional badges on the rear end and the sides of the off-roader reveals the origin of this unique all-wheel-drive supercar.

The BRABUS roof wing with naked-carbon highlights gives the rear end of the vehicle even more exciting looks. The BRABUS rear fascia with stylized skid plate, which like the surround for the two rear reflectors was produced from naked carbon, creates a homogeneous transition to the WIDESTAR fenders, which like the front flares feature stylized naked-carbon air vents in their backs to ensure a sporty appearance. In addition, all chrome parts on the show car were painted in vehicle color. Naked-carbon covers for the side mirrors round off the sporty BRABUS look.

The company upholstery shop created an exclusive BRABUS fine leather all-leather interior with high-precision workmanship for the BRABUS G V12 900 “ONE OF TEN” supercar. The “ONE OF TEN” plaque in the cockpit documents the strictly limited edition of this high-end off-roader. The choice of a combination of porcelain and saddle brown leather, which is highlighted with orange piping, adds a marked contrast to the black outer skin. In addition, the center sections of the seats, which feature shell-shaped quilting and perforations applied with pinpoint accuracy, are backed with fabric of that same orange hue. The glove box and the storage compartment in the center console were likewise lined with orange leather. The headliner is made from black Alcantara. It also integrates a console with three analog gauges for the rear passengers that provide information about the speed, outside temperature and time.

Further striking features in the cockpit are the BRABUS aluminum pedals and door-lock pins as well as the naked-carbon scuff plates with backlit BRABUS logo.

To facilitate access to the rear, BRABUS developed a modification, which allows opening the rear doors further, almost at an angle of 90 degrees to the vehicle body. This allows even tall passengers to get in and out more comfortably.

Mercedes-Benz 300SL Restored by Brabus is Simply Stunning

Interested in the 300SL gullwing? You'll need a sack with $2.3 million to take it home

On one hand you have a tuner company that’s known for offering up top-notch models with massive amounts of horsepower. On the other hand, you have four beautiful one-of-a-kind Mercedes-Benz classics. Can Brabus succeed a crossover into classic restoration? As you’ll see below, the answer to that question is a resounding YES. You will not find a fiber out of place, the restorations are stunning museum quality works of art. Brabus has shown once again why they are the best of the best.

Brabus 300 SL Classic Mercedes-Benz

Brabus 300 SL Classic Mercedes-Benz

Brabus gave four classic Mercedes-Benz cars the company’s six-star restoration process because apparently, five stars won’t suffice. These cars look like they’re better suited for a private collection. Though stowing these amazing-looking classic cars away from eager eyes feels like a crime. Put these in a museum for all to see.

The four Mercedes vehicles Brabus restored were the 300 SL Gullwing, 300 SL Gullwing, 280 SE 3.5 Cabrio, and 280 SL Pagoda. Each is stunning inside, outside, and underneath. The attention to detail is impeccable.

The baby blue exterior and the cream-colored interior is a stunning combination. Up to 4,500 hours were put into the restoration, which included perfecting the authentic interior and rebuilding the engine.

This is the drop-top Mercedes that you dream about as a kid. The perfect tan interior and dark exterior give the roadster a sophisticated, luxurious presence. The details inside and out are just stunning.

The blue exterior, white canvas top, and dark-tan interior are a fantastic blend of stately attitude and luxury. This restoration took up to 2,500 hours to complete, which is still a lot of time spent on just one vehicle. But don’t fret, it looks just as good as the others.

The 280 SL Pagoda has to be one of the more unique classics restored by the tuner company. The cream-colored exterior constants with the green convertible top and interior, but in a quirky way that makes it stand out, especially with its subdued design lines.

f you’re interested in any of these beauties, Brabus Classic provides a list of its current inventory on its website. Interested in the 300SL gullwing? You’ll need a sack with $2.3 million to take it home. The Cabrios run around $740,000, and the Pagoda is “a more sensible” $370,000.

BRABUS ROCKET 900 Cabrio

Of course, the BRABUS ROCKET 900 Cabrio thrills not only on account of its unique performance. Just as extraordinary are the sporty-elegant looks with naked carbon aerodynamic-enhancement components, the 21-inch hi-tech forged wheels and the equally individual and stunningly finished BRABUS fine leather interior.

As the fastest four-seater convertible, this supercar keeps the Blue Ribbon in the family: The fastest representative of this fraternity before was the BRABUS 850 6.0 Biturbo Cabrio based on the Mercedes S 63 4MATIC.

The new open-top high-end supercar got its name from the BRABUS ROCKET 900 6.3 V12 twin-turbo increased-displacement engine that powers it. The high-performance power unit is based on the 12-cylinder engine of the S 65, and is built in the state-of-the-art engine shop in the BRABUS plant in Bottrop.

The most complex operation on this engine is the displacement increase from standard 6.0 to 6.3 liters (366 to 384 cu in). To this end, the 12-cylinder is fitted with a billet-steel BRABUS special crankshaft with longer stroke. In addition, the cylinder bores are enlarged and matching forged pistons and precision-balanced billet-steel special conrods are installed.

The engine peripherals are just as elementary for the performance increase. They have been redesigned in many aspects. Special exhaust manifolds with turbochargers featuring a larger compressor unit and turbine replace the production turbos. The conversion also includes larger down pipes with a diameter of 80 millimeters (3.1 in), a BRABUS high-performance exhaust with actively controlled exhaust flaps, and free-flow metal catalysts.

The intake side was also completely revised. It provides the engine with a generous helping of additional combustion air. To this end, the BRABUS power unit engineers developed the BRABUS 900 intake module, which draws its air directly from the radiator grille through an air duct in the hood. The new intake manifold also includes a special air filter box with larger intake cross-section and special filters, as well as “Gold Heat Reflection” sheathing for the intake pipes, which lowers the temperature to enhance performance.

The BRABUS electronics specialists conducted extensive testing on test benches, racetracks and public roads to program new mapping for injection, boost pressure control, and ignition. The new engine control system coordinates the perfect interaction of the high-performance components, ensuring not only maximum power, but also outstanding smooth-running as befits a V12.

In addition, the engine specialists equip the supercar with the BRABUS Stop/Start Memory system. This module stores the most recently selected position of the standard start/stop system and keeps this mode active even after an engine restart or a change of the driving mode.

MOTUL supplies the high-performance lubricants for the entire powertrain.

The elaborate conversion to the BRABUS ROCKET 900 6.3 V12 twin-turbo engine results in unparalleled performance figures: At a low 5,500 rpm, the engine pumps out 662 kW / 900 HP (888 bhp) of peak power. Even more gigantic is the peak torque of 1,500 Nm (1,106 lb-ft) at 4,200 rpm. In the vehicle, peak torque is electronically limited to 1,200 Nm (885 lb-ft).

The power is channeled to the rear wheels by a seven-speed automatic transmission modified to handle the tremendous power, and a BRABUS high-performance limited-slip differential with a locking rate of 40 percent. Thanks to the BRABUS RACE aluminum paddle shifters on the steering wheel, the transmission can also be shifted manually.

This power unit makes the BRABUS ROCKET 900 Cabrio the world’s fastest and most powerful street-legal open-top four-seater. From rest, the luxury convertible reaches a speed of 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.9 seconds. The top speed is in excess of 350 km/h (217 mph).

The unparalleled performance is accompanied acoustically by a symphony of power: The ex-factory BRABUS sport exhaust system with actively controlled exhaust flaps can change the sound of the turbocharged V12 quasi from Dr. Jekyll to Mr. Hyde. The active sound management is controlled with a button on the steering wheel. The driver decides whether to operate the open-top supercar in an inconspicuous, quiet ‘Coming Home’ mode or whether he wants to enjoy a markedly powerful 12-cylinder sound in the ‘Sport’ position.

These tremendously high rates of speed place of course especially high demands on the aerodynamic-enhancement components, which were developed by the BRABUS designers in the wind tunnel. The bodywork components, which are available for all S 63 and S 65 Coupe and Cabriolet models, are manufactured with a naked carbon finish. Customers have the option of ordering these components with a matte, or as on the show car at the IAA, with a high-gloss protective coating.

The BRABUS front spoiler attaches to the front bumper and lends the two-door car full-blooded racing looks. It also reduces front axle lift at high speeds for further improved handling stability. Tailor-made carbon surrounds highlight the large air intakes on the left and right in the front bumper even more. Naked carbon covers for the door mirrors add further sporty highlights.

The rear end of the open-top luxury car is also upgraded visually: The BRABUS carbon diffuser provides the perfect backdrop for the two dual ceramic tailpipes of the BRABUS sport exhaust system. The BRABUS carbon rear spoiler on the trunk lid ensures balanced aerodynamic properties at the front and rear axle. The carbon attachments for the side air vents in the rear bumper round off the sporty lines perfectly.

Thrilling design, maximum quality and further enhanced driving dynamics are the outstanding traits of the BRABUS Monoblock wheels, which are available for the Mercedes S-Class Cabriolet in different sizes from 18 to 22 inches in diameter.

To be able to make full use of the tremendous top speed of the BRABUS ROCKET 900 Cabrio, the supercar is equipped with BRABUS Monoblock “PLATINUM EDITION” 21-inch forged wheels available in various designs. By being manufactured using state-of-the-art forging technology, they offer an optimal combination of maximum strength and lightweight design. In sizes 9Jx21 on the front axle and 10.5Jx21 at the rear, they make perfect use of the existing space under the wheel arches. Continental high-performance tires of sizes 255/35 ZR 21 at the front and 295/30 ZR 21 at the back are mounted as the optimal solution. The show car on the IAA stand is fitted with BRABUS Monoblock F “PLATINUM EDITION” wheels, which were painted ‘Shadow Grey’ for contrast.

A BRABUS 22-inch tire/wheel combination is available as an even more king-sized option. The BRABUS Monoblock G “Platinum Edition” forged wheels are mounted in the combination 9Jx22 with size 255/30 ZR 22 tires on the front axle and 10Jx22 with size 295/25 ZR 22 tires at the rear.

The BRABUS lowering module is calibrated to these ultra-low-profile tires. It lowers the ride height of the open-top 2+2-seater by about 15 millimeters (0.6 in).

BRABUS of course also refines the cockpit of the S-Class Cabriolet by customer request. This includes scuff plates with backlit BRABUS logo, whose color can change to match the interior ambience lighting. Aluminum components such as the BRABUS RACE paddle shifters, pedals and door pins add decidedly sporty highlights. The BRABUS speedometer with 400-km/h scale (250 mph) reflects the vehicle’s enormous potential.

Customer requests for even greater customization are fulfilled by the company upholstery shop with a BRABUS fine leather interior that impresses not only due to its virtually unlimited variety of colors and materials, but also and above all with its outstanding workmanship. The BRABUS ROCKET 900 Cabrio at the IAA 2017 has a two-tone all-leather interior in a combination of ‘Mondial Vanilla’ and ‘Mondial Black’ leather, contrasting starkly with the paint finish of the body. To add even further sophistication to the exclusive interior styling, the seats and side panels feature not only sweeping decorative stitching, but are also highlighted with black and red topstitching in addition.

The BRABUS ornamental carpenters working in the interior department replace the production wood inlays and trim strips in the cockpit with tailor-made noble wood components made from black ash wood, which in this vehicle have an open-pore surface finish. Alternatively, BRABUS also offers genuine carbon components for this model, which come in a wide range of colors and many different variants of protective coating.

The world’s fastest street-legal convertible is available as a complete car or can be built based on any current Mercedes S 65 Cabriolet.

Fuel economy, CO2 emissions and efficiency class:
BRABUS ROCKET 900 Cabrio based on the Mercedes S 65 Cabriolet: city 21.6 l/100 km, highway 9.5 l/100 km, combined: 13.9 l/100 km. Combined CO2 emissions: 323 g/km, efficiency class F.

BRABUS Reveals Mercedes C 450 4MATIC and C 43 models

Brabus officially unveiled their package for the Mercedes-Benz C 450 and C 43 AMG and it is not for the faint of heart

302 kW / 410 HP, 570 Nm and 280 km/h (173 mph) for the most powerful all-wheel-drive variant of the current Mercedes C-Class: The BRABUS PowerXtra B30-410 performance upgrade makes the C 450 4MATIC Sedan or Wagon even sportier. In addition, BRABUS also offers a sport exhaust system with actively controlled butterfly valves, tailor-made BRABUS Monoblock S 19-inch wheels and exclusive interior options for this model.

BRABUS further expands the world’s most extensive range of engine tuning for Mercedes-Benz automobiles with the new BRABUS PowerXtra B30-410 performance upgrade for the Mercedes C 450 4MATIC.

BRABUS

BRABUS

To this end, BRABUS integrates the new plug-and-play tuning module into the engine electronics of the three-liter twin-turbo V6 gasoline engine. The auxiliary control unit provides the engine with newly calibrated mapping for injection and ignition while moderately increasing the boost pressure. After the installation, the engine pumps out an extra 32 kW / 43 HP (43 bhp) of power and puts an equally effective 50 Nm (37 lb-ft) of additional torque on tap.

302 kW / 410 HP (405 bhp) at 6,100 rpm and a peak torque of 570 Nm (420 lb-ft) at a low 3,700 rpm make the all-wheel-drive C-Class even more dynamic. The sedan equipped with BRABUS PowerXtra B30-410 upgrade accelerates from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.6 seconds. In conjunction with the elimination of the electronic speed limit included in the performance upgrade, the top speed increases from 250 auf 280 km/h (155 to 174 mph).

Even more significant than the improved performance is the even more superior sensation at the wheel in everyday driving resulting from the perfect interplay between the tuned six-cylinder and the seven-speed automatic transmission. The added power across the entire engine rev range is not only reflected in even more agile driving dynamics, but when employing a comparable driving style also in further reduced fuel consumption thanks to the further optimized in-gear acceleration.

Brabus C450

BRABUS

The performance kit for the C 450 4MATIC is of course backed by the exemplary BRABUS Tuning Warranty of three years, up to 100,000 kilometers / 62,000 miles (see BRABUS Warranty Terms and Conditions, updated July 2013). Technology partner MOTUL supplies the perfect high-performance lubricants for the entire powertrain.

For further enhanced driving fun and more striking looks at the rear, BRABUS recommends the installation of the BRABUS quad sport exhaust aft of the production catalysts. The exhaust has four tailpipes and features an electronically controlled system of butterfly valves activated from the cockpit. In the “Coming Home” default setting, the C 450 is even more subdued than with the stock exhaust. In contrast, with the butterfly valves open, the six-cylinder twin-turbo sounds markedly sporty and powerful.

Of course, BRABUS offers not only powerful and highly resilient engine tuning for the Mercedes 4×4. The BRABUS designers developed tailor-made aerodynamic-enhancement components manufactured from high-grade PUR in OEM quality to give the car an even sportier appearance.

The BRABUS front spoiler attaches to the production bumper. Its central spoiler blade and the outer sections shaped like flaps from motor racing lend the vehicle an even more distinctive front. In addition, the component also reduces lift on the front axle, which further optimizes handling stability at high rates of speed.

BRABUS

BRABUS

The rear end is refined with the BRABUS rear diffuser, which provides the perfect backdrop for the four chrome-plated tailpipes of the BRABUS stainless-steel sport exhaust. The C 450 Sedan can be upgraded additionally with the BRABUS rear spoiler, which also comes in a variant made from naked carbon.

The BRABUS Monoblock S wheels, developed especially for the 4MATIC variant with a diameter of 19 inches, also play a crucial role in the thrilling BRABUS look. The alloy wheels feature five double spokes extending all the way to the outer flange. They are mounted in size 7.5Jx19 at the front and in size 8.5Jx19 on the rear axle. BRABUS selected tires of sizes 225/40 ZR 19 and 255/35 ZR 19 as optimal.

The interior of the C 450 4MATIC can also be customized to owner preferences in every detail. The product range offers a host of custom accessories such as aluminum pedals, high-quality floor mats or scuff plates with backlit BRABUS logo. The exclusive BRABUS fine leather interior appointments are made from especially soft and breathable leather and Alcantara. Like the especially classy BRABUS wood trim sets or the markedly sporty BRABUS carbon trim sets, they can be manufactured in a virtually endless variety of colors.

BRABUS ROCKET 900 – that is the new reference for high performance in the luxury segment. BRABUS builds this supercar based on the Mercedes S 65.
BRABUS developed the especially exclusive BRABUS ROCKET 900 “DESERT GOLD” Edition, which celebrates its world debut at the DUBAI INTERNATIONAL MOTOR SHOW 2015, as an homage to the Orient, where BRABUS maintains a company branch and a prestigious BRABUS Flagship Store in Dubai. The exclusive high-performance luxury liner is immediately recognizable not only due to its extraordinary “DESERT GOLD” special paintwork. The appearance of this special model is also characterized by BRABUS carbon aerodynamic-enhancement components and shiny black BRABUS Monoblock F “PLATINUM EDITION” 21-inch wheels with gold pin striping.
The BRABUS fine leather interior is finished in a combination of gold and black leather. Gold-colored seams in a quilting pattern created specifically for this special model furthermore distinguish the classy interior appointments.
The power plant for this luxury sedan is the BRABUS ROCKET 900 6.3 V12 twin-turbo increased-displacement engine rated at 662 kW / 900 HP (887 bhp) and producing a peak torque of 1,500 Nm (1,106 lb-ft). This engine propels the four-door car from rest to 200 km/h (124 mph) in just 9.1 seconds. The top speed is in excess of 350 km/h (217 mph).

As the name BRABUS ROCKET 900 “DESERT GOLD” indicates, this automotive homage from BRABUS to the desert state of Dubai was painted “Desert Gold,” a color created specifically for this high-performance sedan. In addition, some 300 parts in the interior were also painted the same shade.

Carbon aerodynamic-enhancement components and high-gloss black bodywork components add tasteful contrasts. All chrome parts on the vehicle were painted black as were the BRABUS Monoblock F “PLATINUM EDITION” forged wheels, which were additionally adorned with gold-colored pin striping.

Of course, the aerodynamic properties are also essential at the extremely high speeds the BRABUS ROCKET 900 “DESERT GOLD” so effortlessly attains. To minimize lift on the front and rear axle as well as to bring them into an optimal balance, the BRABUS designers developed a bodywork conversion with sporty and elegant styling. The naked carbon components with high-gloss coating lend the luxury sedan a dynamic visual upgrade and a sporty contrast to the gold paint finish. In addition, they also optimize aerodynamic efficiency.

The BRABUS front spoiler lip and the attachments for the front bumper give the four-door car a more thrilling appearance. What is more: Thanks to their shape optimized in the wind tunnel, these components also reduce lift on the front axle, which at high speeds contributes to further improved handling stability.

The front fenders are upgraded visually with a BRABUS design element made from naked carbon. The integrated BRABUS logo is illuminated and the lights are activated with the keyless-entry remote or by pulling on a door handle. BRABUS carbon covers for the exterior mirrors represent a further sporty upgrade.

The BRABUS rear spoiler lip and a diffuser made from naked carbon round off the BRABUS aerodynamic-enhancement concept. Tailor-made cutouts in the diffuser provide the perfect backdrop for the dual designer tailpipe tips of the BRABUS sports exhaust system. The tips are also painted a glossy black to match the overall concept.

In addition, BRABUS Monoblock F “Platinum Edition” high-tech cross-spoke forged wheels decisively characterize the look of the exclusive special model. BRABUS technology partners Continental, Pirelli and YOKOHAMA supply the optimal high performance tires of sizes 255/35 ZR 21 at the front and 295/30 ZR 21 on the rear axle. They are mounted on wheels of sizes 9Jx21 and 10.5Jx21.

The BRABUS AIRMATIC SPORT Unit, a special control module for the air suspension of the luxury sedan, was developed to be able to enhance the high level of dynamic handling of the high-performance luxury car further still. It lowers the ride height of the supercar by about 15 millimeters (.6 in) without compromising the outstanding ride quality.

Of course, the BRABUS ROCKET 900 “DESERT GOLD” impresses not only with its extraordinary appearance, but above all with its superior performance.

The 12-cylinder engine of the S 65 is revised in every detail in the BRABUS engine shop, which is equipped with a state-of-the-art machine park. The installation of a custom BRABUS billet crankshaft with longer stroke in concert with a larger cylinder bore, matching forged pistons and precision-balanced custom billet connecting rods increases the displacement from 5.5 to 6.3 liters (336 to 384 cubic inches).

Modifications to the engine peripherals also play a large role in the enormous power output. The two production turbos are replaced with turbochargers that have a larger compressor unit and a larger turbine as well as modified exhaust manifolds. Down pipes with a diameter of 80 millimeters (3.1 inches) are also included in the conversion, as is a stainless-steel BRABUS high-performance exhaust system with free-flow metal catalysts and actively controlled butterfly valve.

Just as crucial is a perfect air supply of the engine. To this end, the BRABUS engine specialists developed the BRABUS 900 intake module, which draws its air through an air duct in the hood directly from the radiator grille. The new intake manifold includes a special air filter box with larger cross-section and special filters as well as “Gold Heat Reflection” sheathing for lowering the temperature.

Precisely programmed mapping for injection and ignition coordinate the perfect interaction of the high-performance components. The result is not only maximum power, but also compliance with the strict limits set by the current EURO VI emissions standards. Technology partner MOTUL supplies the high-tech lubricants for the entire powertrain.

The extensive work performed on the engine results in the BRABUS ROCKET 900 6.3 V12 twin-turbo engine delivering unrivalled performance figures: the peak power of 662 kW / 900 hp (887 bhp) is produced at a low 5,500 rpm. Even more massive is the peak torque of 1,500 Nm (1,106 lb-ft) at 4,200 rpm. In the car, this figure is limited electronically to 1,200 Nm (884 lb-ft).

The power is channeled to the rear wheels by a seven-speed automatic transmission adapted to the tremendous power output and a BRABUS high-performance limited-slip differential with a locking rate of 40 percent. The transmission can also be shifted manually with the BRABUS RACE aluminum paddle shifters on the steering wheel.

The performance of the BRABUS ROCKET 900 “DESERT GOLD” is on the level of full-blooded top-class sports cars. From rest, the luxury sedan sprints to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.7 seconds. The sprint to 200 km/h (124 mph) takes a measly 9.1 seconds. Top speed is in excess of 350 km/h (217 mph).

A subtle or thrilling exhaust note accompanies this unique driving experience. The BRABUS sports exhaust system with actively controlled butterfly valve enables the owner to actively manage the sound at the touch of a button on the steering wheel. It lets the driver choose between driving the luxury sedan in a subtle and quiet “Coming Home” mode and enjoying a markedly powerful twelve-cylinder sound.

Of course, the interior of the BRABUS ROCKET 900 “DESERT GOLD” is also especially exclusive. With utmost love of detail, the BRABUS upholsterers transformed especially soft and breathable black and gold Mastik leather into a BRABUS fine leather interior in a class of its own. The embroidered “900” logo on the head restraints provides an indication of what engine is under the hood in the interior as well.

Gold-colored seams and piping add subtle accents. The interior elements such as switches and bezels also received an elaborate custom gold-colored coating. The headliner of the sedan is made from deep black Alcantara.

The BRABUS ROCKET 900 “DESERT GOLD” can be upgraded further with a state-of-the-art multimedia system by customer request.

For the cockpit of the sports car, the BRABUS interior designers have developed exclusive accessories such as carbon scuff plates with stainless-steel inserts and a backlit BRABUS logo, whose color changes between red and white, and matte anodized or chrome-plated aluminum pedals. Special BRABUS aluminum paddle shifters in an even more ergonomic position on the steering wheel make even more precise gear changes possible.

The BRABUS upholstery shop creates BRABUS fine leather interiors finished with masterful workmanship for the GT and GT S as well. They can be tailored as precisely to the owner’s preferences with regard to the choice of leather, Alcantara and color as the design and the upholstery.

Individual requests can also be fulfilled when it comes to the inlays for the dashboard, center console and door panels. BRABUS manufactures carbon and precious wood trim sets in any desired color and with many different surface finishes.

Mercedes-Maybach Refined by Brabus

The new Mercedes-Maybach represents the absolute pinnacle of state-of-the-art automotive engineering

The new Mercedes-Maybach represents the absolute pinnacle of state-of-the-art automotive engineering. Nonetheless, even this luxury sedan offers room for individual refinement, which BRABUS realizes with a select team of the best engineers, designers, technicians and master craftsmen.

Brabus Mercedes-Maybach

Brabus Mercedes-Maybach

The BRABUS ROCKET 900 6.3 V12 twin-turbo increased-displacement engine provides the Mercedes-Maybach S 600 with an enormous rated power output of 662 kW / 900 HP (887 bhp) and a peak torque of 1,500 Nm (1,106 lb-ft). Top speed is in excess of 350 km/h (217 mph).

To match the extreme performance of the luxury liner, the appearance of the four-seat car receives some sporty-elegant emphasis with BRABUS aerodynamic-enhancement components and BRABUS Monoblock “PLATINUM EDITION” 21-inch forged wheels.

Another BRABUS domain is exclusive interior design. The company upholstery shop crafts exquisite interiors from the finest leather, Alcantara, precious wood and carbon fibers in any desired color. State-of-the-art infotainment systems including the BRABUS “iBusiness” high-tech multimedia system featuring Apple components fulfill the requests of Maybach owners looking to use their luxury liner also as an office, movie theater or concert hall on wheels.

The Maybach S 600 comes off the factory line with a 12-cylinder twin-turbo engine producing 390 kW / 530 HP (523 bhp) and is thus anything but underpowered. However, powered by the BRABUS ROCKET 900 6.3 V12 twin-turbo increased-displacement engine, the luxury liner attains a performance level previously the exclusive domain of the world’s most powerful super sports cars.

6.3 V12 twin-turbo

6.3 V12 twin-turbo

To this end, the company high-tech engine shop employs the tried and proven principle of increasing the engine’s displacement. The installation of a custom BRABUS billet crankshaft with longer stroke in concert with a larger cylinder bore, matching forged pistons and precision-balanced connecting rods increases the displacement from 6.0 to 6.3 liters (366 to 384 cubic inches).

Extensive modifications to the engine peripherals are also imperative to achieve the desired level of high performance. The two production turbos are replaced with turbochargers that have a larger compressor unit and a larger turbine, which are adapted to the V12 engine with the help of special exhaust manifolds. In addition, the conversion includes down pipes with a diameter of 80 millimeters (3.1 inches), free-flow metal catalysts and a stainless-steel BRABUS high-performance exhaust system with actively controlled butterfly valve.

Numerous modifications were also made on the intake side to ensure the engine’s optimized air supply. The carbon-fiber BRABUS 900 intake module, which draws its air through an air duct in the hood directly from the redesigned radiator grille, is immediately identifiable. The new intake manifold includes a special air filter housing with larger cross-section and special filters as well as “Gold Heat Reflection” sheathing for lowering the temperature.

Newly programmed mapping for injection, boost pressure control and ignition coordinate the perfect interaction of all high-performance components and modifications. The result is not only maximum power, but also compliance with the strict limits set by the current EURO VI emissions standards.

After the conversion, the V12 engine, which is operated exclusively with high-tech motor oil from MOTUL, produces a peak power of 662 kW / 900 HP (887 bhp) at a low 5,500 rpm and a gigantic peak torque of 1,500 Nm (1,106 lb-ft) at 4,200 rpm.

Despite a gross vehicle weight of more than 2.8 tons, the BRABUS super car based on the Mercedes-Maybach S 600 delivers a performance usually only achieved by a few full-blooded super sports cars: powered by the BRABUS ROCKET 900 6.3 V12 twin-turbo engine, the four-seat car accelerates from 0 – 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.7 seconds. Top speed is in excess of 350 km/h (217 mph).

It goes without saying that the extensive BRABUS engine tuning program also includes an appropriate performance upgrade for the S 500 version of the Mercedes-Maybach. After the installation of the BRABUS B50-540 performance kit, the 4.7-liter (287 cubic inches) twin-turbo V8 engine produces an additional 62 kW / 85 HP (83 bhp) and 120 Nm (88 lb-ft).

To be able to make safe use of the enormous performance of the tuned luxury sedan and lend it an even more dynamic visual flair, the BRABUS suspension engineers developed tailor-made wheels. The BRABUS Monoblock VI evo and Monoblock R “PLATINUM EDITION” forged wheels with a diameter of 21 inches were designed for the Maybach. The high-tech wheels with six double spokes make full use of the available space in the wheel wells of the Maybach in size 9Jx21 at the front and 10.5×21 at the rear. The BRABUS technology partners Continental, Pirelli or YOKOHAMA supply the fitting high-performance tires of sizes 255/35 ZR 21 on the front axle and 295/30 ZR 21 at the rear.

To enhance the high level of driving dynamics of the high-performance luxury sedan further still, BRABUS developed a special module for the MAGIC BODY CONTROL suspension of the Mercedes-Maybach. It lowers the ride height of the vehicle by about 25 millimeters (1 inch) without compromising the outstanding ride quality.

The sporty-elegant BRABUS look for the Mercedes-Maybach, which is almost 21 centimeters (8.3 inches) longer than the long-wheelbase version of the current S-Class, is rounded out with aerodynamic-enhancement components, which were developed for the current S-Class in the wind tunnel and are manufactured in OEM quality from PUR.

In concert with the special radiator grille and integrated LED daytime running lights, the BRABUS front bumper, which replaces the production bumper in its entirety, lends the sedan an even more distinctive face. The integrated front spoiler reduces lift on the front axle at high speeds, which results in further improved handling stability. The large air intakes in the BRABUS bumper optimize the supply of fresh air to radiators, engine and front brakes.

The rear is upgraded with the BRABUS rear bumper. Its integrated diffuser features tailor-made cutouts for the four chrome-plated tailpipes of the BRABUS high-performance exhaust system. The exhaust has an actively controlled butterfly valve to allow the driver to manage the exhaust note at the push of a button on the steering wheel. Drivers can choose between operating their luxury sedan in a subtle and quiet “Coming Home” mode and enjoying a markedly powerful engine sound in the “Sport” position.

Tasteful Upgrades for The Mercedes C-Class

The BRABUS product range offers a host of refinement options for the interior of the new Mercedes C-Class

Stagnation means losing ground, and consequently the BRABUS engineers and designers are tirelessly at work developing new custom components for Mercedes-Benz vehicles. Following the sporty and elegant aerodynamic-enhancement program for the new C-Class models coming off the assembly lines in standard specification or with AVANTGARDE or EXCLUSIVE package, there are now also sporty and dynamic bodywork upgrades for vehicles that customers ordered ex-factory with AMG body styling. In addition, BRABUS now also offers engine tuning for all current C 180 models. BRABUS Monoblock wheels with diameters of up to 20 inches, suspension options, sports exhaust systems, and exclusive interiors round out the product lineup.

Mercedes-Benz offers the new C-Class of model series W/S 205 in a variety of design and equipment lines. BRABUS already offers tailor-made bodywork components for the C-Class in standard specification and for the models of the AVANTGARDE and EXCLUSIVE lines. In addition, all model variants can also be ordered ex-factory with AMG Line body styling. To add further dynamics to the sporty lines of these bodywork components, the BRABUS design team has now also developed detachable components for this variant. They not only give the car an even sportier appearance, they also reduce negative lift on the front and rear axle at high speeds, and consequently are a factor in even further optimized handling stability. All components are manufactured in OEM quality from high-grade PUR plastics.

The markedly sportily styled BRABUS front spoiler attaches to the lower part of the AMG Line bumper. With its central spoiler blade and outer sections shaped like flaps the aerodynamic-enhancement component lends the vehicle an even more distinctive front.

Along the same lines, the rear of all sedans can be upgraded with the BRABUS rear spoiler. Yet another attractive BRABUS design component is the diffuser-look rear bumper insert that provides the perfect backdrop for the four chrome-plated tailpipes of the BRABUS sports exhaust system.

A crucial component of the thrilling BRABUS look is constituted by the BRABUS Monoblock wheels, which can be mounted on the C-Class in various designs and with diameters of 18, 19 or 20 inches. The largest safety-certified tire/wheel combination features BRABUS Monoblock F or R alloys of sizes 8.5Jx20 at the front and 9.5Jx20 on the rear axle. The perfect high-performance tires of sizes 225/35 ZR 20 and 255/30 ZR 20 are supplied by BRABUS technology partners Continental, Pirelli and YOKOHAMA.

The BRABUS sports suspensions, developed jointly with BILSTEIN, are calibrated specifically to the sporty low-profiles and offer a sporty yet comfortable ride. The same applies to the BRABUS sports springs, which lower the ride height of the C-Class by about 30 millimeters and are precision-tuned to work with the production shocks. For the C-Class models equipped ex-factory with AIRMATIC air suspension, BRABUS offers a control module to lower the vehicle’s ride height.

The world’s most extensive engine tuning program for Mercedes-Benz automobiles comes from BRABUS. While the performance kits for the diesel models are in the final stages of development, there are already tuning upgrades for the four-cylinder gasoline engines. Like all BRABUS components, the performance kits are backed by the one-of-a-kind BRABUS Tuning Warranty® of three years, up to 100,000 kilometers/62,000 miles (see BRABUS Warranty Terms and Conditions, updated July 2013). BRABUS recommends high-performance lubricants from MOTUL.

An extra 15 kW / 21 horsepower (20 bhp) for the C 180 are available under the label BRABUS PowerXtra B18.2. The plug-and-play module is adapted to the engine electronics, and boosts power output from 115 / 156 horsepower (154 bhp) to 130 kW / 177 horsepower (174 bhp). In conjunction with an increase in peak torque from 250 to 300 Nm (184 to 221 lb-ft), the sprint time from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) is shortened to 8.4 seconds while top speed jumps to 230 km/h (143 mph).

The BRABUS PowerXtra B20.2 performance kit can likewise be connected to the engine electronics of the gasoline-powered C 200 model in next to no time by any specialist workshop. Like all BRABUS PowerXtra performance kits, this tuning kit was designed to reliably prevent any negative effects on the engine’s longevity as the result of the performance increase. Consequently, the performance-enhancing mapping is only activated once all parameters such as engine temperature etc. are in the green arc. Of course the engine still meets strict EURO VI emissions standards even after the installation of the performance kit.

Equipped with the BRABUS PowerXtra B20.2 performance kit, the four-cylinder turbo engine pumps out an extra 30 kW / 41 horsepower (40 bhp) and delivers 30 Nm (22 lb-ft) more torque. A maximum power output of 165 kW / 225 horsepower (221 bhp) and a peak torque of 330 Nm (243 lb-ft) logically also effect the performance on the road: with BRABUS engine tuning the C 200 accelerates from rest to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 7.0 seconds, and reaches a top speed of 242 km/h (150 mph).

BRABUS has been engaged in the development of innovative, functional and stylishly integrated business systems on wheels for more than three decades. With the world premiere of the BRABUS Business Lounge based on the current Mercedes Sprinter at the Moscow International Automobile Salon, BRABUS once again demonstrates its role as a pioneer in this field.

The black van, which has also undergone an attractive exterior upgrade with a new front bumper and 18-inch Monoblock wheels with BRABUS design, impresses not only with its exclusively designed BRABUS fine leather passenger compartment with four business seats in a face-to-face conference seating arrangement and an additional third row of seats. The innovative communications concept of the vehicle integrates the passengers’ notebook or tablet computers into the media center of the vehicle independent of the technical platform.

The basis for the exclusive BRABUS Business Lounge concept is the Mercedes Sprinter with long wheelbase and high roof. The BRABUS upholstery shop fits the van with an entirely new and particularly sophisticated interior.

The eight-seater show car for the Moscow International Automobile Salon 2014 is equipped with a bulkhead behind the driver’s cabin. The interior designers have integrated four BRABUS business seats custom-developed for this vehicle into the passenger compartment that offers sufficient standing height even for tall passengers. The seats are installed in a face-to-face conference seating arrangement, offer maximum comfort, and can even be reclined to full sleeping position. In addition, all four seats offer welcome amenities such as lumbar support, massage function, heating, ventilation, and are power-adjustable with three-position memory function.

The third row of seats faces forward and consists of two individual seats with folding backrest. For times when more space for luggage or other items is needed, the seats can be removed. Passengers make their way to these seats via the aisle between the seats in front of them. To this end, the center console can be slid back at the push of a button.

The seats were covered in the company upholstery shop in the exclusive style of the BRABUS fine leather appointments with a stylish two-tone cognac and mocha combination of especially soft and breathable and yet durable Mastik leather. The sides of the seats sport a combination of Alcantara and high-gloss white surfaces. The genuine-wood floor is designed as a veneer without tongue and groove.

For a perfect and draft-free feel-good atmosphere under all climatic conditions a special climate control system was developed for the spacious passenger compartment of the Sprinter in cooperation with German OEM Eberspächer. It has a heating output of 10 kW and a cooling output of 13 kW, and is discretely integrated into the Sprinter to make it visually and acoustically unobtrusive.

The desired privacy is provided by dark-tinted glazing and eight power-operated curtains on the side and rear windows. A total of three power-retractable tables can be used for a variety of purposes. A refrigerator and a coffee maker, both located in a center console between the business seats, provide additional amenities. Eight USB 3.0 ports and three 220 volt outlets for powering the passengers’ notebooks, tablets and smartphones are located within easy reach. A total of six dimmable reading lights provide perfect lighting for perusing files, books or magazines on all seats.

An evolution of the venerable starry sky creates a very special atmosphere: the BRABUS electronics specialists have integrated an LED display measuring 180 cm x 90 cm (71 x 35 in.) into the headliner. It consists of some 2,700 color LEDs capable of displaying 12 different animations ranging from an azure sky with moving puffy white clouds to a starry night sky, and from a magnificent fireworks show to oriental and psychedelic themes. Alternatively, an ambiance lighting concept with a multitude of settings and adjustment options ensures the well-being of the occupants.

The entire electrical system of the BRABUS Business Lounge interior is controlled via CAN bus. All commands are entered on newly developed “BRABUS Touch Control Panels” and forwarded to the particular components. The five-inch touch displays are fitted at each seat in the cabin, eliminating the need for conventional switches in the passenger compartment.

The centerpiece of the versatile vehicle is the innovative BRABUS Media Center, which was developed in cooperation with Ruhr West University. The result is a groundbreaking concept that makes it possible to incorporate a wide variety of devices into the network, regardless of what operating system they use. To this end, a powerful PC that hosts the system is mounted in the vehicle hidden from view.

Consequently it doesn’t matter whether a passenger wants to use an Apple iPad, an Android cell phone or a Windows notebook while on board. The BRABUS Media Center incorporates any of these devices and allows everyone on board to work in a relaxed atmosphere or enjoy exciting entertainment as they please. All a user needs to do is to touch the symbol of the appropriate operating system on the BRABUS Touch Control Panel and the device is wirelessly incorporated into the on-board network. After that all contents and programs are available via the powerful on-board computer and a wireless mouse and keyboard at each seat.

The contents are displayed on the giant 42-inch Full HD LCD screen integrated into the bulkhead behind the driver’s cab. For passengers seated in the two rear-facing seats there is a 10-inch display integrated into the center console between these two seats.

Regardless of where they are seated, passengers have access to mobile high-speed internet via LTE for surfing or receiving and sending e-mail. They can also access entertainment content such as movies, music or photos from the hard drive, Blu-ray player or Playstation 4 game console, or can watch live HDTV via DVB-T or Apple TV. If desired, a four-channel surround view camera can show the vehicle surroundings, and cell phone multimedia content can be mirrored on the 42-inch screen via Miracast.

The sound is reproduced with superb brilliance by a Dolby surround sound system with an output of 1,200 watts and loudspeakers tailored specifically to the van’s interior.

The exterior of the BRABUS business van also stands out from the crowd. The designers have developed a new front bumper with sporty-dynamic design and integrated LED daytime running lights to give the Sprinter a striking facelift. In the rear the two BRABUS exhaust pipes with hallmark design lend the vehicle a sporty appearance.

The wheel arches of the Mercedes Sprinter are fitted with tailor-made elegant fender flares to create space for the BRABUS Monoblock E 8Jx18 wheels with nine distinctive spokes and polished drop center. They are designed specifically for the high weight of the Sprinter, and mounted with the perfect high-performance tires of size 255/55 R 18 from technology partner Continental.

The BRABUS Business Lounge special model based on the Mercedes Sprinter is built to order and available in various versions with four or six seats in the passenger compartment.

BRABUS Takes on the Mercedes GLA-Class

The Mercedes GLA-Class has hit the showrooms and Brabus presents an exclusive refinement program that leaves nothing to be desired

The Mercedes GLA-Class has hit the showrooms and Brabus presents an exclusive refinement program that leaves nothing to be desired.

It not only includes a strikingly styled designer outfit with distinctive off-road highlights and tailor-made Brabus Monoblock wheels with diameters of up to 21 inches: Brabus also offers suspension components that allow lowering or raising the ride height of the compact SUV to suit the individual owner’s personal preferences. In addition, there is powerful engine tuning producing up to 294 kW / 400 horsepower (394 bhp), stainless-steel sport quad exhausts and custom interior options.

Brabus GLA

Brabus GLA

It goes without saying that all components come with the one-of-a-kind Brabus Tuning Warranty® of three years, up to 100,000 kilometers/62,000 miles.

The Brabus designers have developed styling elements to lend the new small Mercedes SUV exciting off-road looks. They are available for the GLA-Class in Standard, Style and Urban specifications. Brabus aerodynamic-enhancement components for the models in AMG Line specification are under development. All components are manufactured in OEM quality from high-grade PUR plastics.

The Brabus front element is designed to replace the central insert of the front bumper and tapers off on both sides like an additional front spoiler. This creates a perfect visual symbiosis of powerful off-road design with stylized underride guard and aerodynamic-enhancement component. In addition, Brabus attachments for the side air inlets in the front bumper lend the front of the SUV an even more distinctive appearance.

To make getting in and out easier while also making it safer in the dark, the Brabus engineers have developed a concealed LED lighting system that is activated with the keyless remote or by pulling on a door handle.

Brabus GLA

Brabus GLA

The rear end of the GLA is upgraded with a rear spoiler that attaches to the hatch, and the Brabus rear bumper insert that mimics the underride guard design of the front element. Tailor-made cutouts in the rear element provide the perfect backdrop for the four tailpipes of the Brabus stainless-steel sport exhaust with hallmark Brabus design.

A decisive part in the exclusive appearance is played by the Brabus alloy wheels in OEM quality. The lineup of tailor-made tire/wheel combinations ranges from 18 to 21 inches in diameter.

The largest option available for the compact Mercedes SUV features forged Brabus 9Jx21 “Platinum Edition” wheels. Customers have a choice of two distinctive designs, Monoblock F and R. The matching high-performance street tires are supplied by Brabus technology partners Continental, Pirelli and YOKOHAMA up to size 255/30 R 21.

Raised or lowered? Brabus offers both options for the GLA-Class. Many owners of this SUV wish for a moderately raised ride height to make getting in and out even more comfortable and to have even better SUV-like sightlines in traffic. For these customers the Brabus suspension engineers have developed a suspension kit that raised the ride height of the GLA by about 30 millimeters (1.2 inches).

For even more dynamic handling in on-road operations there are also Brabus sport springs that lower the ride height of the Mercedes GLA-Class by about 25 millimeters (1 inch).

Brabus GLA

Brabus GLA

As the company with the world’s most extensive engine tuning program for Mercedes-Benz cars, Brabus of course also offers performance kits for the new compact SUV. Like all Brabus engine variants they offer a perfect combination of performance, refinement, exemplary eco-friendliness and durability beyond reproach. Brabus recommends MOTUL high-performance lubricants.

Brabus ECO PowerXtra D3 – that is the designation of a particularly efficient performance kit for the common-rail turbodiesel engine of the Mercedes GLA 220 CDI.

The plug-and-play installation of the meticulously calibrated Brabus ECO PowerXtra D3 auxiliary control unit results in an extra 30 kW / 40 horsepower (40 bhp). With a power output of 155 kW / 210 horsepower (208 bhp) and a peak torque of 410 Nm (302 lb-ft) the agile diesel model sprints from 0 – 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 8.0 seconds. Top speed increases to 220 km/h (137 mph).

A Brabus PowerXtra module also boosts the power output of the four-cylinder turbocharged gasoline models of the GLA-Class. The product lineup culminates in the Brabus PowerXtra CGI B45 tuning kit for the GLA 45. After the installation of the Brabus PowerXtra module the top-of-the-line model puts out 294 kW / 400 horsepower (394 bhp) and produces a peak torque of 500 Nm (369 lb-ft). As a result the all-wheel-drive power-SUV accelerates to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.4 seconds and in conjunction with the Brabus V/max unit reaches a top speed of SUV 270 km/h (168 mph).

The all-stainless Brabus sport exhaust with two chrome-plated tailpipes on either side is available for almost all diesel and gasoline engines. The exhaust produces a sportier but by no means obtrusive exhaust note. A Brabus sport exhaust with controlled butterfly valve is optionally available for the GLA 250. It allows tuning the engine sound from discreet to markedly sporty.

Brabus also offers numerous refinement options for the interior. Bi-color stainless-steel scuff plates with Brabus logo – also available with optional lighting – are part of the product range as are matt-anodized Brabus aluminum pedals, door-lock pins and Brabus Race aluminum shift paddles.

Requests for further customization are fulfilled in the Brabus upholstery shop: the options range from completing the leather appointments available ex-factory to exclusive Brabus fine leather interiors crafted from especially soft yet extremely durable Brabus Mastik leather and Alcantara in any desired color.

Mercedes E63 AMG Tuned by Brabus

The Mercedes E63 AMG is impressive all o its own, specifically when it comes to power but Brabus being Brabus thought they could pull slightly more from the AMG

The Mercedes E63 AMG is impressive all o its own, specifically when it comes to power but Brabus being Brabus thought they could pull slightly more from the AMG.  And so they have with thereBrabus 850 6.0 Biturbo capable of sprinting 0-62 mph in 3.1 seconds.

Brabus tunes the Mercedes E63 AMG sedan to 850 PS

Brabus tunes the Mercedes E63 AMG sedan to 850 PS

625 kW / 850 horsepower (838 bhp), 1,450 Nm (1,069 lb-ft) of torque, a top speed in excess of 350 km/h (217 mph): these are the unique performance figures of the BRABUS 850 6.0 Biturbo that comes to the starting line as the legitimate successor of the famed BRABUS 800 E V12.

For almost two decades the four generations of the BRABUS E V12 ruled the segment of the superfast sedans. What once started with the implantation of a BRABUS 6.9 V12 increased-displacement engine producing 375 kW / 509 horsepower (503 bhp) into the body of a Mercedes 500 E of the W 124 model series, and culminated in the BRABUS E V12 “one of ten” super car with 588 kW / 800 horsepower (790 bhp) of power and a top speed in excess of 370 km/h (230 mph) presented at the 2009 IAA, now finds its even more powerful continuation.

The BRABUS 850 6.0 Biturbo, based on the current Mercedes E 63, uses eight instead of twelve cylinders. To this end the motor engineers from BRABUS developed a new high-performance engine with an increased displacement of six liters (361 cu. in.).

Like its predecessors, the BRABUS 850 6.0 Biturbo, which of course is also available as a wagon, comes with an efficient BRABUS aerodynamic-enhancement kit, tailor-made BRABUS Monoblock wheels and an exclusive BRABUS fine leather interior.

The eight-cylinder engine of the E 63 and its two turbochargers provide the perfect breeding ground for an enormous power boost. To this end the BRABUS motor engineers developed a displacement increase from standard 5,461 cc to 5,912 cc (333 to 361 cu. in.). Simply increasing the bore of the eight cylinders in the BRABUS high-tech engine-building shop to 99 millimeters (3.89 in.) would be insufficient. The precision-balanced billet crankshaft with a stroke of 96 mm (3.78) instead of the standard 90.5 millimeters (3.56 in.) in concert with special forged billet pistons and billet piston rods completes the displacement increase. In addition, both cylinder heads are optimized for mixture flow.

The turbocharging system of the eight-cylinder four-valve engine was upgraded accordingly: the air intake system and the two BRABUS turbochargers with larger compressor unit and special manifold were all developed from the ground up. The BRABUS 850 intake module with an air filter box with larger cross section was developed to supply the adequate amount of air. An air duct integrated into the hood is also part of this special intake manifold as is the larger intake pipe, which is positioned directly exposed to the relative wind in the front bumper to provide air to the engine.

Low charge-air temperatures are beneficial to power yield and engine temperatures, and consequently BRABUS equips this engine with intake and charge-air pipes wrapped with special and immediately identifiable “Gold Heat Reflection” sheathing.

Free-flow metal catalysts and a BRABUS high-performance exhaust system with controlled butterfly valve are installed on the exhaust side. This includes active control of the exhaust note from the driver’s seat. At the push of a button drivers can choose between a quiet “Coming Home” mode and an earthy, full-blooded V8 sound when the “Sport” position is selected. With its dual ceramic-coated design tailpipes on either side with cast BRABUS logo this exhaust system is also a visual treat.

The BRABUS electronics engineers used their immense know-how and state-of-the-art engine test rigs to recalibrate the engine management system to ensure the perfect interaction of all high-performance components and consequently an optimal power output. The result is not only tremendous performance, but also compliance with stringent EURO VI emissions standards. The high-tech lubricants for the entire powertrain are supplied by technology partner MOTUL.

The performance data of the BRABUS 850 6.0 Biturbo increased-displacement engine speak volumes: 625 kW / 850 horsepower (838 bhp) at a low 5,400 rpm are just as unique for a street-legal sedan as is a constant torque of 1,450 Nm (1,069 lb-ft) between 2,500 and 4,500 rpm. In the car this figure is limited to 1,150 Nm (848 lb-ft) to reduce stress on the entire drivetrain. Of course this high-performance engine is also backed by the one-of-a-kind BRABUS Tuning Warranty of three years, up to 100,000 kilometers/62,000 miles (see BRABUS Warranty Terms and Conditions, updated July 2013).

In conjunction with the modified SPEEDSHIFT MCT 7-speed sports transmission the new engine lifts all versions of the E 63 to a performance level previously virtually inconceivable for a sedan or a wagon. With rear-wheel drive the BRABUS 850 6.0 Biturbo sprints from rest to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.7 seconds. With 4MATIC all-wheel drive and the added traction it provides this exercise actually takes only 3.1 seconds. Depending on the tires, the final drive ratio and the programming of the BRABUS Vmax unit, the top speed ranges between 300 km/h (186 mph) and more than 350 km/h (217 mph).

In addition, BRABUS offers three more performance stages for all current E 63 variants that do without a displacement increase. Their power outputs range from 456 kW / 620 horsepower (611 bhp) and 478 kW / 650 horsepower (641 bhp) to 537 kW / 730 horsepower (720 bhp) for the BRABUS B63S-730 version.

Favorable aerodynamic properties are essential for perfect handling stability at the tremendous speeds attained by such powerful vehicles. The BRABUS designers went into the wind tunnel to develop bodywork components made from extremely lightweight yet ultra-strong carbon fiber.

The front spoiler lip attaches to the underside of the production bumper of the E 63. Its shape reduces negative lift on the front axle of sedan and wagon.

Also made from this superlight composite material are the BRABUS rear separation edge and the diffuser insert, which provides the perfect backdrop for the two dual tailpipes of the BRABUS sport exhaust.

The immense top speed of the BRABUS 850 6.0 Biturbo requires special high-performance tires supplied by technology partners Continental, Pirelli and YOKOHAMA. The largest version features one-piece BRABUS Monoblock F or R wheels of size 9.5Jx20 with high-speed-capable tires of sizes 255/30 ZR 20 on the front axle and 295/25 ZR 20 tires in back. There is also a version featuring BRABUS Monoblock R “Platinum Edition” forged wheels of size 9Jx20 in front and size 10.5Jx20 on the rear axle.

The BRABUS fine leather interior, which is handcrafted meticulously by the experienced upholsterers of the automotive refinement specialist, can be ordered in any desired color. BRABUS aluminum shift paddles with a highly ergonomic design and BRABUS RACE pedals add a markedly sporty note.

The BRABUS 850 6.0 Biturbo can be ordered as a complete car or BRABUS can convert any existing current Mercedes E 63 entirely or step by step to this specification.

Fuel economy, CO2 emissions and efficiency class

TBT: Brabus Rocket Becomes The World’s Fastest Sedan

The Brabus Rocket, with V12, registered a maximum velocity of 225.19 miles per hour while testing

While browsing our inbox this morning, we received an email from our good friend Vincent at Autoblog.nl, who graciously tipped us off to the fact that the Brabus’ self-titled Rocket, a Mercedes CLS fitted with the 600-series’ V12, has officially garnished the title of the world’s fastest sedan.

During recent high speed testing, the Brabus Rocket, whose superbly-tuned V12 produces a power output of 730 hp / 537 kW and an electronically limited peak torque of 1,100 Nm at 2,100 RPM, registered a maximum velocity of… are you ready for this… 225.19 miles per hour.

Unbelievable.

BRABUS ROCKET Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class Coupe

BRABUS ROCKET Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class Coupe

In addition to its unholy top speed, the Brabus Rocket took a moment to flex it’s acceleration haunches, registering a 0-62 mph time of 4.0 seconds, a 0-124 mph time of 10.5 seconds, and a 0-186 mph time of 29.5 seconds.

If you’re interested, the Brabus Rocket is available, in limited quantities, from your local Brabus dealer. The price to attain such a vehicle, as one would expect, is slightly higher than that of a standard CLS, with the sticker checking in at a cool EUR 348,000, or approximately $436,879 USD.

A small price to pay to own such an astounding vehicle.

Visually the 250-km/h (155-mph) off-roader dazzles with its spectacular BRABUS WIDESTAR widebody version and BRABUS “Platinum Edition” 23-inch forged wheels custom-developed for this model.

The ability to always be in touch and the desire to be able to enjoy entertainment anywhere while having the option to communicate with the entire world: multimedia and connectivity are increasingly gaining importance in cars as well. BRABUS was one of the first companies to stylishly integrate computers and telecommunications into cars with a full range of functionalities.

Since that time the technology has advanced at a rapid pace. In the new BRABUS 800 “iBusiness” based on the Mercedes G 65 an exclusive and extremely powerful super car now celebrates its world premiere. The all-wheel-drive car provides its owners with the capability to communicate with the entire world or enjoy multimedia content such as music, movies or games using an iPad mini, Mac mini, iPod touch and Apple TV.

While the heart of the system, the Mac Mini computer, is housed together with the Apple TV module and the power amp rather inconspicuously in custom-designed consoles in the trunk, the modifications in the rear compartment of the G-Class are immediately apparent: The production rear-seat bench is replaced by individual seats that offer any conceivable creature comfort including an integrated seat ventilation system.

A tailor-made BRABUS center console was installed between the two rear seats, and extends all the way from the front seats to the upper edge of the rear seat backrests. The upper section features a refrigerator for refreshments, the main part of the console houses numerous components of the “iBusiness” multimedia concept. These include not only a folding and swiveling table for each rear seat, but also docking stations with built-in chargers for the iPad mini and the iPod touch, as well as space for the concealed storage of keyboard and mouse plus USB ports for connecting to the Mac mini.

A special console was also developed for the stylish integration of the 15.6-inch LCD monitor into the headliner made of the finest leather and Alcantara. It serves as the main screen for the entire multimedia system, and can be deployed and retracted via the BRABUS Remote app specifically developed for the “iBusiness” package. The app is also used for powering on the Mac mini.

The rear-seat passengers can enjoy all benefits of the BRABUS multimedia system at any time. Both computers, the iPad Mini and the Mac mini mainframe, allow working just like at home or the office. The connection to the internet is established via a high-speed modem and a WLAN. Because the BRABUS electronics specialists integrated the iPad mini into the vehicle’s on-board electronics system, the tablet computer also controls the various functions of the multimedia equipment.

Internet television from all over the world is displayed by the Apple TV module on the main screen. The DVD changer of the standard COMAND system was also integrated into the multimedia options. The high-end sound system is tailored to the G-Class interior and offers a wide range of first-class listening pleasures. The iPod touch in the rear console serves as the program source and can store more than 14,000 titles.

Rear-seat passengers can also enjoy the amenities of the BRABUS “iBusiness” concept in a particularly pleasant environment at night. To this end, the interior designers have installed dimmable ambiance lighting between the seats and in the roof. The roof-mounted console also features gimbaled LED reading lights.

The BRABUS upholstery shop created a black all-leather interior for the BRABUS 800 “iBusiness” show car. It continues the quilted pattern of the exclusive BRABUS leather floor on the seat center surfaces and the center sections of the doors. The interior is rounded off with red contrasting stitching that matches the pinstripes on the wheels.

Of course BRABUS also offers interiors in any other color. There are virtually no limits for the color scheme of the especially soft and breathable BRABUS Mastik leather and the classy Alcantara. Just as unlimited are the variations offered by the many leather upholstery designs and exclusive wood or carbon-fiber inlays. BRABUS can fulfill requests for special colors and designs, including wood inlays in an especially exclusive yachting design.

Stainless-steel scuff plates with backlit BRABUS logo and other attractive accessories such as high-quality velour floor mats and aluminum BRABUS pedals and door-lock pins are also part of the BRABUS 800 “iBusiness” interior appointments.

The custom interior is accompanied by sheer high performance: The 6.0-liter V12 Biturbo engine of the G 65 is upgraded with the BRABUS 800 engine conversion. For this purpose the BRABUS engine specialists have developed a high-tech twin turbo system. The exhaust manifolds with integrated turbo housings and high-performance turbochargers were custom-developed for the G 65. They not only further optimize throttle response, but produce a higher boost pressure than the production turbos. Four water-to-air intercoolers located beneath the carbon-fiber BRABUS hood scoop ensure lower charge-air temperatures. This benefits power delivery and durability even under extreme conditions such as, for example, in the desert. Two air filter boxes positioned in the front fenders ensure an optimized supply of breathing air for the engine.

On the exhaust side there is a BRABUS stainless-steel exhaust system with free-flow metal catalysts and sound management via a controlled butterfly valve. The high-tech exhaust system is operated with a button on the steering wheel. The V 12 engine can either whisper discreetly in “Coming Home” mode or trumpet news of its power to the world in the “Sport” position. Visually the sport exhaust captivates with two dual tailpipes – either with standard or black chrome finish – exiting in front of the rear wheels on either side.

Special mapping for the engine management system coordinates the perfect interaction of all high-performance components while ensuring compliance with EURO V emissions standards. The high-tech lubricants for the entire powertrain are supplied by technology partner MOTUL.

The BRABUS 800 engine produces 588 kW / 800 hp (788 bhp) of power at a low 5,500 rpm and an even more impressive peak torque of 1,420 Nm (1,047 lb-ft), on tap already from 2,100 rpm. In the car peak torque is limited electronically to 1,100 Nm (811 lb-ft).

Mercedes G65 AMG Brabus 800 iBusiness Engine

Mercedes G65 AMG Brabus 800 iBusiness

The performance the car delivers speaks volumes: In combination with the seven-speed automatic transmission and permanent all-wheel drive, the BRABUS 800 WIDESTAR sprints to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.2 seconds. The top speed is limited electronically to 250 km/h (155 mph). Without the limiter the high-performance off-roader would be capable of reaching 270 km/h (167 mph).

With the WIDESTAR widebody version the designers lend the classic G-Class body in the current facelift version an even more distinctive and dynamic profile. The front of the off-roader is marked by powerful fender flares. But that’s not all: The BRABUS front spoiler, which also fits any G 63 or G 65 without WIDESTAR conversion, attaches to the production bumper and features LED daytime running lights on the left and right-hand side. The illumination of the BRABUS logos integrated into both sides of the aerodynamic-enhancement component is activated by pulling on a door handle or with the keyless remote.

Another important factor in the spectacular appearance of the front is the new lighting concept with dark BRABUS xenon headlights. The precise-fit inserts, which replace the production headlights of the G model, feature special integrated LED daytime running lights that also serve as turn signals. This renders the production turn signals on top of the fenders obsolete. Their openings are closed with custom covers made of clear-coated carbon fiber that add another sporty highlight.

The new look for the front is rounded off with the radiator grille with integrated BRABUS logo and an additional faceplate below the radiator grille. The BRABUS components for the front are of course also available for all G 65 models without WIDESTAR conversion. The BRABUS rear bumper with two LED backup and fog lights each and the BRABUS roof spoiler with integrated LED brake light are also suitable for universal use.

The front and rear fender flares add 12 centimeters (4.7 in) to the width of the body. Integrated LEDs illuminate the running boards of the G-Class when a door handle is pulled or the keyless remote is activated. Integrated air outlets and BRABUS door attachment components add further striking highlights in the side view.

The wider wheel arches make room for BRABUS “Platinum Edition” forged wheels with a diameter of 23 inches. The use of state-of-the-art manufacturing technology makes these wheels an ideal combination of low weight and maximum strength. Three BRABUS “Platinum Edition” size 11Jx23 wheels are available for the G-Class: Monoblock E evo, Monoblock F and Monoblock R. All are mounted with size 305/35 R 23 high-performance tires from BRABUS technology partners Continental, Pirelli or YOKOHAMA. The BRABUS 800 “iBusiness” show car on display at the Geneva Motor Show is equipped with BRABUS Monoblock F “Platinum Edition” 11Jx23 wheels sporting a black mirror finish and red pinstripes on the rim flange that echo the interior design.

Another BRABUS high-tech feature is the Ride Control suspension developed together with technology partner BILSTEIN. An aluminum button sporting the BRABUS logo in the center console allows drivers to choose manually between two setups for the electronically adjustable shock absorbers: In comfort position the off-roader offers exemplary ride comfort that even surpasses that of the production car. At higher speeds and for spirited driving, choosing the firmer sport setup offers more dynamic handling and even further increased safety reserves.

In addition, the BRABUS Ride Control suspension features automatic damper adjustment. If the vehicle sensor systems detect that certain parameters such as speed, lateral acceleration and steering angle might lead to a critical handling situation, the suspension is automatically switched to the firmer sport setting in the blink of an eye. The sportier damper setup further improves the handling stability of the all-wheel-drive car. The CAN control unit also detects when the driver reverts to a more moderate driving style. The system then automatically switches the shock absorbers back to the comfort position.

The Mercedes S500 luxury sedan is filled with state-of-the-art components from Apple; an iPad, Mac mini, iPod touch and Apple TV

If you’re at the Essen Motor Show or still in a turkey coma from yesterday’s Thanksgiving feast, there is one car you need to pay particular attention to today as its going to be talked about come Monday Morning. It is the BRABUS 850 6.0 Biturbo “iBusiness”. Like it’s predecessor we saw a couple of months back, this luxury sedan is filled with state-of-the-art components from Apple such as iPad, Mac mini, iPod touch and Apple TV. The main difference is that instead of their 850 horsepower office on wheels in Frankfurt, and now they’ve gone for something a bit more realistic, starting out with the S500, not the V12 AMG engine.

Read on for a complete overview of the new Brabus 850 “iBusiness”.

Mercedes-Benz S500 Brabus iBusiness

The exclusive appointments of the BRABUS 850 “iBusiness” also include a sporty-elegant designer outfit for the body, forged BRABUS “PLATINUM EDITION” 21-inch wheels, a high-performance braking system with carbon-ceramic discs and an exquisite, two-tone all-leather interior.

In best BRABUS tradition the new BRABUS 850 6.0 Biturbo high-capacity engine subscribes to the ancient but still true wisdom that nothing can substitute for displacement other than more displacement.

The new engine is based on the latest Mercedes 63 AMG eight-cylinder four-valve engine. For the increase in displacement to 5,912 cc (361 cu. in.) the BRABUS motor engineers brought their entire know-how amassed in the more than 35 years of the company’s history to bear. Numerous engine components had to be newly developed and the engine block, cylinders and cylinder heads had to be extensively re-machined in the company engine-building shop.

Increasing the eight cylinder bores to 99 millimeters (3.89 in.) allows the use of special forged pistons with modified surface contours to achieve an even more efficient combustion. They are connected by billet piston rods to the precision-balanced billet crankshaft with a stroke of 96 mm (3.77 in.).

The two special BRABUS turbochargers with larger compressor unit and modified exhaust manifolds are of course also a major factor in the enormous increase in power by 195 kW / 265 hp (261 bhp) over the stock engine. Other performance-enhancing upgrades on the exhaust side are the metal catalysts with 75-millimeter-thick (2.95 in.) downpipes and the BRABUS stainless-steel sport exhaust whose pipe connectors have a diameter of 76 millimeters (3 in.).

The BRABUS installations on the intake side are immediately apparent upon opening the hood: in addition to the fiery-red BRABUS design accents on the engine, the BRABUS Gold Heat Reflection sheathing for the intake and charge-air tubes right away catches the eye. This measure also contributes to the high-performance experience provided by this engine, as does the newly designed BRABUS 850 intake manifold for the eight-cylinder four-valve engine. It includes a larger air filter box with enlarged intake cross section, which gets its air supply via a special air duct in the hood. Also part of the package is the carbon-fiber intake pipe with larger diameter, which was positioned behind the new BRABUS fascia directly exposed to the relative wind.

Special mapping for the engine management system programmed on the BRABUS high-tech engine test rigs and during road tests coordinate all high-performance components perfectly. This benefits not only the gigantic power yield, but also the outstanding throttle response and refinement of the engine across the entire rev range.

The performance data of the BRABUS 850 6.0 Biturbo high-capacity engine are correspondingly impressive: the V8 produces its peak power of 625 kW / 850 hp (838 bhp) at a low 5,400 rpm U/min. The equally potent peak torque of 1,450 Nm (1,069 lb-ft) is limited in the car to 1,150 Nm (848 lb-ft) to protect the powertrain as a whole. It is available steadily on a plateau between 2,500 and 4,500 rpm. BRABUS exclusively uses high-performance lubricants from technology partner MOTUL. A BRABUS limited-slip differential with a locking rate of 40 percent is available as an option.

In conjunction with the modified AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 7-speed sports transmission the BRABUS 850 “iBusiness” delivers a performance only attained by a very few full-blooded and significantly lighter sports cars. Sprinting from 0 – 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.5 seconds is just as unrivalled in this class of vehicles as is the electronically limited top speed of 350 km/h (217 mph). The transmission either sorts the gears automatically or allows drivers to shift manually using the BRABUS aluminum shift paddles on the steering wheel.

This unique driving sensation is accompanied by an exhaust note that can be either subtle or thrilling. The BRABUS sport exhaust system with controlled butterfly valve offers drivers the option to actively control the exhaust note at the push of a button on the steering wheel. It determines whether the luxury sedan operates in a subtle and quiet “Coming Home” mode or announces its V8 power full-throated to the world in the “Sport” position to the enjoyment of the driver.

It goes without saying that BRABUS performance kits are available for all Mercedes S-Class engines. The plug-and-play BRABUS B50 – 520 PowerXtra CGI performance kit for the 4.7-liter eight-cylinder Biturbo engine of the S 500 uses special mapping for injection and ignition as well as a moderate increase in boost pressure to bump the power output by 65 horsepower.

After the conversion the engine’s power output jumps from 335 kW / 455 hp (449 bhp) to 382 kW / 520 hp (512 bhp) and peak torque grows to 820 Nm (605 lb-ft). This propels the four-door car from rest to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.2 seconds. The BRABUS Vmax unit that is part of the engine tuning allows limiting the top speed electronically to 250, 275 or 300 km/h (155, 171 or 186 mph).

BRABUS is one of the pioneers in developing innovative, functional multimedia systems that are stylishly integrated into the automobile. The 1.0 generation of the BRABUS “iBusiness” concept building on the Apple iPad was presented in the Mercedes S-Class of the W/V 221 model series in 2010.

Now, several evolutionary stages and one vehicle generation later, the new BRABUS 850 “iBusiness” celebrates its world debut. In the refined ambiance of a BRABUS fine leather interior crafted to perfection down to the last detail the passengers have the latest generation of Apple computer technology for global communications and entertainment at their disposal.

The BRABUS “iBusiness” multimedia system incorporates an iPad mini tablet into the rear compartment. To this end the BRABUS designer developed a custom center console, which is installed between the two individual seats in the rear, and is equipped with a docking station. The docking station not only secures the table computer safely in place when not in use, it also recharges the computer’s battery.

The iPad mini is not only for communication with the outside world. The integration of the “iBusiness” concept into the vehicle’s on-board electronics also allows all functions of the S-Class COMAND system to be controlled from the iPad mini.

In addition, the mobile computer is connected to a Mac mini computer via the InCar-Hotspot. The Mac mini serves as the mainframe. The ultra-compact yet particularly powerful computer is housed safely in an electrically operated custom-designed drawer in the trunk of the S-Class. The BRABUS programmers developed the innovative BRABUS Remote app to facilitate communication between the individual modules of the multimedia equipment.

Mercedes-Benz S500 Brabus iBusiness

Mercedes-Benz S500 Brabus iBusiness Interior

Of course there is also a special BRABUS app for iPad, iPhone and iPod. This software is part of the state-of-the-art communications concept of the luxury sedan as well.

A 15.2-inch color TFT display with an aspect ratio of 16:9 serves as the central monitor for the iPad minis and the other devices of the multimedia equipment. The electrically deployed monitor is integrated elegantly into the headliner made from the finest leather. At night the headliner can be illuminated by a multitude of fiber-optic lights to resemble a starry sky. In addition, the standard screens on the back of the front head restraints can be used to watch TV via DVBT or other programming sources.

High-speed USB 3.0 ports integrated into the rear compartment allow connecting additional devices such as a digital camera to the Mac mini. The BRABUS 850 “iBusiness” uses state-of-the-art wireless technology to connect to the internet.

The music comes from an Apple iPod touch of the latest generation. With 64 gigabytes of memory it offers enough storage capacity for more than 14,000 tracks. The sound is reproduced by the sound system of the S-Class.

The perfectly finished BRABUS fine leather interior can be crafted in the company upholstery shop in any desired color and in any upholstery design from high-end leathers and Alcantara. The selection of wood and carbon-fiber inlays in virtually any desired color and with a variety of surface finishes is just as extensive.

At the extremely high speeds the BRABUS 850 “iBusiness” effortlessly attains the aerodynamic properties are of utmost importance. To minimize negative lift on the front and rear axle while creating an optimal balance the BRABUS designers have developed a body conversion kit with sporty and elegant style. The components are manufactured in OEM quality from high-end PUR plastics and carbon fiber, and lend the luxury sedan a dynamic visual upgrade and optimize aerodynamic efficiency.

The BRABUS front fascia replaces the production bumper in its entirety. It captivates not only with its striking looks that includes large stylishly integrated air scoops that optimize the supply of cooling air for the radiators, engine and front brakes. Its shape was optimized in the wind tunnel and consequently also reduces negative lift on the front axle, which plays a role in the further improved handling stability at high speeds.

The side of the each front fender is upgraded with a BRABUS design element made from clear-coated carbon fiber, with a choice of matt or high-sheen finish. The integrated BRABUS logo is optionally available in a backlit version whose illumination is activated by operating the remote control or by pulling on a door handle.

At the same time the LED lights integrated into the underside of the BRABUS rocker panels also light up. The underfloor lighting makes approaching the car at night safer and helps to avoid stepping into a pothole or puddle.

The BRABUS aerodynamic-enhancement concept was designed for all current S-Class models with short or long wheelbase. It is rounded out by the BRABUS rear separation edge, which is also available in a version made from clear-coated carbon fiber, and the rear fascia with integrated diffuser and tailor-made cutouts for the BRABUS sport exhaust system.

Also contributing to the striking designer look and the even more dynamic and safer handling of the Mercedes S-Class are the tailor-made BRABUS Monoblock alloy wheels with diameters of 19, 20, 21 or even 22 inches.

Forged BRABUS “PLATINUM EDITION” wheels in size 9Jx21 on the front axle and size 10.5Jx21 wheels in the rear are available as a 21-inch tire/wheel combination. Customers can choose from three different designs: mirror-finished Monoblock VI wheels with six double spokes, Monoblock F cross-spoke wheels or the new Monoblock R wheels where the spoke pairs are arranged in two different plains. Continental, Pirelli and YOKOHAMA high-performance tires in sizes 255/35 ZR 21 in the front and 295/30 ZR 21 on the rear axle were selected as the optimal tires.

An innovation is the BRABUS 22-inch tire/wheel combination for the S-Class. The BRABUS Monoblock G “Platinum Edition” forged wheels feature a combination of size 9Jx22 wheels and size 255/30 ZR 22 tires on the front axle with size 10Jx22 wheels and size 295/25 ZR 22 tires in back, and make full use of the available space below the wheel arches.

To further enhance the high level of dynamic handling of the high-performance luxury sedan BRABUS has developed a special control module for the air suspension of the S-Class. It lowers the ride height of the BRABUS 850 6.0 Biturbo “iBusiness” by some 15 millimeters (0.6 in.) without impairing the outstanding ride comfort.

Maximum stopping power is even more important than exceptional acceleration and thus the BRABUS high-performance braking system is part of the technical highlights of this vehicle. It features anthracite-colored six-piston aluminum fixed calipers with golden BRABUS logo and vented carbon-ceramic discs measuring 380 x 34 millimeters (14.9 x 1.3 in.) on the front axle. The carbon-ceramic discs were developed in cooperation with brake specialist Brembo, and are manufactured from an entirely new material. The new structure of the disc and the material drastically increases thermal diffusivity, resulting in a much higher performance of the braking system compared with conventional systems.

The BRABUS 850 6.0 Biturbo “iBusiness” is built to order. The multimedia system and all other BRABUS tuning components are available for all current S-Class models. BRABUS engine tuning is also available for all other engine variants.
