Make your dreaded holiday dish pile officially a thing of the past with an Electrolux Dishwasher

Every year, I host Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners at my home, which if you haven’t already guessed means I LOVE to cook. I love to cook so much so that from start to finish, nearly everything is made from scratch, whether it’s the bread for my stuffing or the butter for my rolls. I love entertaining just as much – coming up with the perfect design for a beautifully set table with wine and water glasses, salad bowls, bread and dinner plates, coffee and desert plates, and of course, a plethora of silverware. The part of holiday entertaining that I don’t like, however, is the giant pile of dishes I’m left with after cooking and serving the meals.

In years past I actually washed many of these dishes by hand, too impatient to wait for my aging dishwasher to finish and unable to run it while guests were visiting due to its annoyingly loud run cycles. Each year I swore I would upgrade my dishwasher to one that would actually help me during the holidays, and it was this year that we finally upgraded our kitchen appliances and installed a new Electrolux dishwasher. I’m proud to say that since the Electrolux, the dreaded holiday dish pile is officially a thing of the past.

The Electrolux Dishwasher that I have is a standard 24″ dishwasher, but that’s where its similarities to other dishwashers stop. It’s designed beautifully, and there’s a huge range of features that I’ve come to love, starting with how quiet it is. The Electrolux Dishwasher is so quiet that you honestly can’t hear it running most of the time. On several occasions I’ve opened it, not realizing it was in the middle of a cleaning cycle. As such, the days of having to wait ’til guests have left to clean my dishes is a thing of the past. Another thing I love about the Electrolux is the huge load capacity with places for my stemware, flatware, pots, plates, etc. The organizational features make loading and unloading a snap. And then there’s the fact than unlike my old dishwasher, the door that stays in place and doesn’t drop to the ground when I open it, saving my toes and anything else standing in front of it.

In terms of functionality, the Electrolux Dishwasher is a breeze to use. Controls are handled by the hidden IQ-Touch control panel on the top of the door, perfectly hidden from my children so they can’t turn the cycles on and off. You can choose from five different cycles as well as set a favorite cycle that you choose based on your most used cycle and options. All cycles and options light up for easy visibility no matter what time of day you’re starting your dishes. And what may be its greatest feature, one of the cycles you can choose is Auto Wash (which is the one I use most often). It uses Smart Sensor technology to determine what the best cycle is for the amount of dishes you put in as well as how dirty they are. Less dishes that are only slightly dirty will go through a short wash and use less water than if you put in a large load of dishes that you didn’t pre-rinse. It takes any guess work out of how dirty your dishes are and what cycle you should use, and it also ensures that your dishes come out clean every time while using the least amount of water and energy.

Size wise, the Electrolux Dishwasher can fit up to 180 items, the largest of any similar sized dishwasher, so you’ll rarely ever find yourself with a pile of dishes (depending on how well you load the dishes). In addition to the smartly designed racks that have a spot for everything, the dishwasher also uses their Sure-2-Fit Racking System, allowing you to fit dinner plates on top or bottom as well as making space for exceptionally tall items by easily sliding the top rack up or down depending on you needs. When you have an abundance of dinner guests and a full load of plates to wash, it’s a feature you will come to love .

And last but not least, the Electrolux Dishwasher uses smart systems to detect any problems with the dishwasher such as leaks, drainage problems, lack of water pressure, etc. In the event of a problem, the dishwasher will display a code on the touch-screen so that you can quickly diagnose any problems. I’ve yet to have an error message display, but I’m grateful that I don’t ever have to wonder if everything is running right.
