After several rounds of S-Class Spy photos, this is the first time we’ve gotten to see the 2013 S-Class up close, enabling us to catch a glimpse of the updated interior.  The new flagship model in the Mercedes’ range will adopt the Aesthetic S design.  We can expect to see a sculpted hood, LED-infused headlights, bigger grille, CL-inspired taillights and a dual exhaust setup.

The interior of the new S-Class will boast two large LCDs, one for replacing the analog instruments and the other will be a multifunction touchscreen display to control climate, satellite navigation, communication and entertainment systems.

As for what’s under the hood, the S-Class will receive the company’s new “MoVe” modular V6 and V8 engines, as well as a hybrid version expected to return 71.2 mpg (85.6 mpg UK or 3.3 liters / 100 km) and complete the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) run in less than six seconds. The S63 AMG will probably use a twin-turbo V8 5.5-liter engine with more than 550 hp (410 kW) and 590 lb-ft (799 Nm) of torque

The new S-Class is scheduled to be unveiled later this year.
