Ahead of its probable unveiling at this months New York Auto Show, the first pictures of the 2013 Mercedes GL have made their way to the web.
The seven seater is based on the Mercedes-Benz M-Class and is seen in the photos looking more polished then ever before. The 2013 GL features a more prominent hood, LED headlights and a two-bar grille. An upward sweeping shoulder line and wraparound taillights give the latest Mercedes SUV and updated design.
The interior of the GL is taken directly from the new M-Class and offers leather seats, wood trim and metallic accents.
While we have not yet been able to confirm engine options, we will likely see 258 PS (190 kW / 255 hp) 3.0-liter V6 diesel and a 4.7-liter V8 petrol with 408 PS (300 kW / 402 hp), all connected to a seven-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive system.
