The facelifted Mercedes-Benz E500 has been the subject of an aftermarket upgrade courtesy of VATH.

They took the rear-wheel drive version and worked on the V8 4.7-liter turbocharged gasoline engine to bump its output from the series 408 PS (300 kW) and 600 Nm (443 lb-ft) to 550 PS (404 kW) and a massive 830 Nm (613 lb-ft) of torque. The additional oomph costs €10,591 and enables the high-performance mid-size sedan to hit a top speed of 186 mph (300 km/h).

For more money, clients can opt for a €4,629 stainless steel exhaust system with quad oval pipes while a carbon rear diffuser with fins and underbody extension costs €2,011. Custom dampers are an extra €1,166 and customers can also add custom brakes with 390mm discs and 6-piston calipers on the front axle for €5,355.

This particular car rides on VATH’s 20-inch forged wheels wrapped around in 255/30 R20 front and 295/25 R20 rear tires. As a final touch, the tuner has added a carbon trunk spoiler lip available for €1,761.

Photos of the interior cabin have not been released but the tuner says they are offering aluminum pedals, a sportier steering wheel, carbon fiber trim and Alcantara headlining.
