MBUSA Ranks Among Best Places to Work

If Mercedes-Benz isn’t winning awards for their cars, they are winning awards for the company culture – Congratulations MBUSA

For the fifth consecutive year, Mercedes-Benz USA has been named one of the 100 Best Companies to Work For by FORTUNE magazine and the only auto manufacturer to make the ranking. The list, now in its 17th year, recognizes companies that have exceptional workplace cultures.

“We couldn’t be happier,” said Steve Cannon, president and CEO of MBUSA. “The employees of this company never cease to amaze me with their spirit and determination. Their commitment to our customers and infectious can-do attitude drove MBUSA to record heights in 2013. I have no doubt our strong and engaging culture will bring us even greater success in the year ahead.”

MBUSA was selected among hundreds of companies vying for a place on the list this year. Applicant companies opt to participate in the selection process, which includes an employee survey and an in-depth questionnaire about their programs and company practices. Great Place to Work® then evaluates each application using its unique methodology based on five dimensions: credibility, respect, fairness, pride and camaraderie.

“It gives us great pride to produce this list of outstanding workplaces who are business leaders in their respective fields,” stated China Gorman, CEO of Great Place to Work. “These companies prove the link between how people are treated and how businesses perform, and give us hope for a future where all business leaders will understand that overall greatness must start with a people-first strategy.”

The firm has found that employees believe they work for great organizations when they consistently trust the people they work for, have pride in what they do and enjoy the people they work with. Companies named on the list often show better financial performance, less employee turnover, higher levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty, more innovative and creative thinking, higher productivity and enhanced public perception.

In further recognition of MBUSA’s vibrant corporate culture, the luxury automaker has been Great Rated! by its employees as of January 2014. Using methodology from the Great Places to Work Model, a Great Rated! Review is awarded to companies whose workers give them top marks in areas such as professional development and training, company atmosphere, benefits and rewards. Highlights from this most recent poll include MBUSA’s professional support and numerous, creative benefits.
