View photo galleryGerman tuner Edo Competition is offering up a new power kit designed specifically for the Mercedes C63 AMG. The result is an enormous power increase from the stock output of 457 HP / 336 kW, bumping power to 600 HP / 441 kW. In addition to the added horsepower, torque output growns from 600 Nm (442 lb-ft) to 680 Nm (501 lb-ft), helping propel the Edo C63 AMG from 0-62 mph in 4.1 seconds (before hitting a top speed of 213 mph). Making the magic happen, some of the new toys include a new high-performance exhaust system with programmable electronic controller, exhaust headers, high-flow catalytic converters, new air filters, revised engine electronics and the removal of a top speed governor.
With added power comes added handling needs, namely in the form of new tires/wheels. Specific modifications needed to be made to the C63’s wheels in order to handle speeds over 211 mph, with Edo opting for for 235/35 ZR 19 high-performance Michelin tires mounted on 8.5Jx19 multi-piece wheels in the frong with 265/30 ZR 19 tires on 9.5Jx19 multi-piece wheels in the back.
And lastly, carbon fiber applications have been used to enhance its aesthetic qualities throughout the interior.
