Zetsche States Mercedes Car Group On Track To Reach 2007 Profitability Goal

In Hanover, Germany today, DaimlerChrysler AG CEO Dieter Zetsche reiterated a message he's been proclaiming for some time now, stating the Mercedes Car Group is on track to reach its profitability target in 2007.

According to Dr. Z, the company is "absolutely convinced to deliver" on the previously mentioned profitability, further elaborating that the company is set to reach its target for seven percent return on sales in 2007.

For the first half of 2006, the Mercedes Car Group's return on sales was 0.5 percent.
