Posted October 11th, 2006 At 10:35 AM CST

Auto Motor und Sport's rendering of what the 2008 Mercedes-Benz C-Class will look like

To add additional fuel to the 2008 C-Class speculation fire, Auto Motor und Sport briefly weighed in on the topic this morning, further discussing what changes we can expect to see in the new model.

According to the German publication, the length of the next C-Class will grow by five centimeters, bringing the total length to 4.58 meters. Styling, as we already know, will be inspired by the 2007 S-Class, and so too will be the technology contained within the new model - namely, PRE-SAFE.  And finally, as for what will power the next C-Class, Auto Motor und Sports expects to see four-cylinder variants with outputs ranging from 156-184 horsepower, V6 variants with outputs ranging from 204 to 272 horsepower, and last but certainly not least, the C63 variant featuring AMG's 6.3 liter 450+ horsepower V8.

We will of course continue to bring you any new 2008 C-Class speculation as it arises; in the meantime, head over to Auto Motor und Sport (roughly translated from German) for the full article.
