With its excellent start, the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin 2007 has successfully established itself among the top international fashion events and will in January 2008 once again make its stages and catwalks available to famous couturiers and creative young designers.

With the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin, the renowned German automobile brand has this year broadened its commitment as a title sponsor at the most important, trend-setting fashion events. "Elegance and styling have always played a key role in the success of the Mercedes-Benz brand," says Dr. Olaf Göttgens, Vice President Brand Communications Mercedes-Benz Cars. "The Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Berlin establishes even stronger ties between our brand and the world of fashion. We are proud once again in 2008 to present in Berlin a fashion event of international standing."

With a four-day series of fashion shows, the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin 2007 for the first time joined the ranks of these elite events. A high standard was guaranteed by famous fashion designers of international standing who presented their latest fashion ideas in front of an enthusiastic audience in Berlin. A number of original young designers also used this internationally acclaimed stage for their creations.

With great enthusiasm, Mercedes-Benz additionally supports fashion platforms in, for example, Los Angeles, Miami, Mexico and the Netherlands. Furthermore, the Stuttgart-based motor-vehicle manufacturer has already for a number of years been the title sponsor at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week New York, which is one of the four leading international fashion events.

Once again next year, the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin will make its stages and catwalks available to famous couturiers and creative young designers.

From January 27 to 31, 2008, at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin, top international and German designers such as HEIRESS, Marcel Ostertag, Strenesse and Unrath & Strano will present their collections in the venue in the Berlin Postbahnhof whereas HUGO, MICHALSKY and Rudolf Dassler Shuhfabrik by PUMA will present their new collections in side-locations.
