MehrNews.com is reporting today that an authorized Mercedes-Benz dealership is expected to begin work in Iran within coming days.
The dealership will come as a result of a joint venture between Mercedes and Iran Khodro Diesel. If all is successful, the dealership will be the first foreign car dealership in Iran that provides sales and after-sales services for its products in the country.
In the past, no auto makers would directly sell their products in Iran; sales were left to individual auto dealers as well as companies from the public and private sectors. However, following Renault Pars' lead, Iran's Mercedes-Benz Co. will now be the second joint venture planning to begin work in Iran's auto industry.
And you wondered where all the money from inflated oil prices went.
