Mercedes-Benz Partners With World Equestrian Games 2006

FEI World Equestrian Games 2006 LogoMercedes-Benz has announced today that they will be one of eight partners supporting the FEI World Equestrian Games 2006 in Aachen, Germany. The highlight of this year's games will undoubtedly be the Mercedes-Benz Team Show Jumping event, in which the world's elite show jumpers will be competing for the highest team score.  In total, the Mercedes-Benz prize is worth approximately $350,000.

For those of you unfamiliar with the FEI World Equestrian Games, the festivities are held once every four years. Between the 20th of August and the 3rd of September, the world's top show jumpers compete in show jumping, dressage, eventing, driving, riding over a distance, vaulting exercises on horseback and reining. The event is under the patronage of German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

Berlin, May 24, 2006
Mercedes-Benz is one of a total of eight world partners supporting the FEI World Equestrian Games 2006 in Aachen. The highlight of the world equestrian championships will be the Mercedes-Benz Team Show Jumping Prize to be held on 30th and 31st when the elite of the world's show jumpers will be competing for team score. The "Mercedes-Benz Prize" is worth a total of € 273,000.

The FEI World Equestrian Games are held every four years. Between 20th August and 3rd September, the world's top show jumpers will be competing in show jumping, dressage, eventing, driving, riding over a distance, vaulting exercises on horseback and reining. The Equestrian Games are under the patronage of Chancellor Angela Merkel.

The Mercedes-Benz equestrian commitment goes back over many years. As well as the spring meeting in Iffezheim, the brand with the star has also been supporting the CHIO in Aachen, one of the most important international showjumping events, as its title sponsor for more than 50 years.
