Although we haven't received the official press release from DaimlerChrysler, Reuters is reporting that worldwide sales of the Mercedes Car Group dropped 4.7% in April to 100,800 units.
Individually, sales of the Mercedes-Benz brand dropped 1.2% to 91,300 units, while sales of the smart car continue to remain in the toilet, falling 28.4% to 9,500 vehicles.
Despite this month's decrease, sales for the first four months of the year have risen to 395,800 units, a gain of 7.4% over the same time period last year.
We'll be sure to keep you posted when the full press release hits; in the meantime, head over to Reuters for the pre-show.
