2009 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class - CarPoint.com.au provides an extensive look at the new non-AMG roadsters, offering an in-depth overview of the model's changes before ultimately rating it a numerical three out of a possible five.

2009 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class - Car and Driver is the next to weigh in on the new SL, noting that the revisions to the model are "hardly earth shattering" yet "typical of the slow, steady pace that has characterized the last 52 years of SL roadster refinement." They conclude by stating the new SL is "the most satisfying ever, further securing its position among the most highly revered automobiles on earth."

2009 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class - The Telegraph reiterates again the changes to the new Mercedes roadster, with reviewers praising "the liveliness and chassis balance of the SL350" but criticizing the model's "slightly bloated image" and "terrible fuel consumption."

2009 Mercedes-Benz SL63 AMG - CarPoint.com.au offers a second review dedicated exclusively to the SL63, with testers favoring the model's "clever transmission" and "mega real-world performance" but criticizing its design and "hot hatch steering wheel." Ultimately, the model received a numerical four out of five rating.

2009 Mercedes-Benz SL63 AMG - The Truth About Cars provides the shorter, second look at the AMG-powered SL, weighing in on a number of the model's features before rating it three out of a possible five stars.

2009 Mercedes-Benz SL63 AMG - The Times continues the theme echoed in the prior reviews, with more criticism coming as a result of the new SL's styling while praise is given to both its power and transmission. Final score:  three out of five stars.

2009 Mercedes-Benz SL63 AMG - Top Gear provides yet another look at the new SL63, describing it as "fast, easy, and fun... and still an SL in that it's a proper Mercedes." 

2009 Mercedes-Benz SL63 AMG - And last but not least, Car magazine is the final publication to weigh in on the new SL63 AMG, deviating from the other mediocre reviews and rating it five out of a possible five stars.
