Launching March 31st, the C-for Yourself campaign's primary goal is to "convince customers around the world of the advantages of the versatile product concept behind the new C-Class sedan, including two distinct front-end designs and outstanding comfort, agility and safety..."

While attending to the sea of tips flooding our inbox as a result of our absence over the weekend, we came across an email from a reader by the name of Bonissen which directed us to some spy photos of what appears to be a mildly-revised CLS-Class.

Taken in Bodø, Norway yesterday, the pictures depict a CLS with a slightly more CL-esque grille, minimal body-cladding in the rear as well as a disguised interior, leading one to believe a tweaking of these areas could be coming in the near future.  Other than that, little is known, but we will of course keep you posted if we hear anything new...

Going through our inbox this early afternoon I stumbled upon two emails from our friends Jinx and Monk - emails which directed us to reviews of both the Maybach 62 S and the Mercedes ML320 CDI.

The first review, published by Inside Line, provides a nice look at the $480,000+ Maybach, detailing the luxury chauffeur-driven sedan from both a passenger's and driver's perspective. The second review, this one published by the UK's MSN Cars, pits the diesel-powered Mercedes SUV against the Lexus RX400h hybrid to determine which fuel conservative model reigns supreme in the land of eco-friendly sport-utes, ultimately giving the nod to... well... maybe I shouldn't spoil it for you...

I ran across this article a couple days ago but it completely slipped my mind until this morning.  In a recent interview with the German publication Auto Motor und Sport, DaimlerChrysler CEO Dieter Zetsche outlined in greater depth the company's plans to launch Mercedes-branded hybrids by 2009.

According to Dieter: "We won't develop any future models without a hybrid option," adding: "We will offer our customers the right product..."

It was a fairly slow day for Mercedes news yesterday, but one article which was brought to our attention by several of you, our beloved readers, was Inside Line's 2008 Mercedes-Benz C350 Sport First Drive.

In their article, Inside Line shares the first impressions of what to expect from the U.S.-bound C350, highlighting many of its specifications and detailing how it stacks up against both the BMW M3 and the Audi A4.  For me, however, the main qualm that I have with the review is that I don't believe the C-Class is aimed directly at either...

Going through our inbox this early afternoon I ran across an email from our good friend Shiv, one which directed to some new spy photos of the 2009 Mercedes E-Class captured by the fine gents over at AutoSpies.

Although the next E is heavily disguised, one of the most obvious additions is undoubtedly the grille reminiscent of the one found on the new C-Class. As for the rest of the vehicle, masking makes its difficult to see anything for certain, but I wouldn't be surprised if other styling elements found on the C-Class made their way to the new E as well...

Welcome back ladies and gentlemen; I hope you all had a fantastic weekend.  To kick things off this morning, DaimlerChrysler has taken a moment to publish a touching look back at the C-Class and its humble beginnings some 25 years ago.  While I could try to give you a quick overview of the lovable model's illustrious history, the comprehensive, nine-part press release does a far better job than I could ever hope to do, so I think it's best if I let the press kit take it from here...

Exterior views of the 2007 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG and E200K Classic

Before I begin this afternoon let me first apologize for the lack of updates yesterday.  After battling my deviant internet connection for half the day, I eventually decided to call it quits and head out of the office a bit early.  My internet connection now appears to have returned to its former, functioning self however, which means I can finally attend to the tips several of you were gracious enough to send me.

First up is a batch of Mercedes reviews - reviews which look at three distinct models: the E63 AMG; the E200K Classic; and the S550 4MATIC.

In my typical "Review Roundup" fashion I'll abstain from analyzing any of the aforementioned reviews in great depth; you can however find each review along with a brief description of what to expect from each immediately after the jump...

I ran across this story yesterday but I didn't quite find the time to publish it.  In a statement made at the Geneva Motor Show, Thomas Weber, head of technology and research as well as development for the Mercedes Car Group, confirmed that the first Mercedes-Benz branded hybrid vehicle will launch sometime in 2009.

In a brief statement, Weber stated: "In 2009 we will have the first Mercedes-branded hybrid on the market..."
