It appears (for the time being at least) that the mystery of which AMG model will be making its premier at the New York Auto Show has been solved.  According to AutoTelegraaf.nl, the new model set to debut is the CL65 AMG, and they've got the photos to prove it.

Taken in Amsterdam during preparations for the AutoRAI, the photos clearly showcase a CL65 - a model which will be powered by the same 6.0-Liter 612 hp V12 Biturbo found in its sibling - the S65 AMG.  AutoTelegraaf expects a 0-62 mph time of 4.5 seconds, while top speed is limited to the standard 155 mph.

We will of course keep you posted when the official specs are released; in the meantime, head over to AutoTelegraaf.nl to check out the photos of the CL65 AMG in their entirety.

[UPDATE: We received an email from a distraught reader by the name of Alex notifying us that while the CL65 is about to make its debut, it will make it at the AutoRAI, not in New York. He believes the model that will make its debut is the CLK DTM Black Series, a car which resembles more closely the photograph of the disguised vehicle posted on the AMG Private Lounge.

At this point, I'm done speculating about what's going on.  There's obviously a CL65 about to debut; a C63 is most likely coming in the near future; there's an enhanced SL in the works; there's a SLR convertible; there's the rumored CLK Black Series... the list goes on. Whatever's coming, we'll find out soon enough, so until I get inside photos of the new AMG being prepped for the show, this topic is officially exhausted.]
