Auto Express Gets Behind The Wheel Of The Mercedes-Benz Ocean Drive Concept

Although production of the Mercedes-Benz Ocean Drive Concept has yet to be confirmed and even when/if it is confirmed, is likely to be several years away, that didn't stop Mercedes from inviting Auto Express to spend some time with the model, allow the publication to shed the first glimpses of what to expect should MB decide to produce a convertible S-Class.

As for what they thought, a few excerpts from Auto Express' review:

"...the model oozes luxury inside. The dashboard’s shape and switchgear are mostly borrowed from the S-Class, but the Ocean Drive’s finish is a cut above. Soft cream leather and bespoke Italian woven fabric are used to cover everything, from the one-off wooden steering wheel to the seats, lower doors and top of the dash."

"Once the roof is down, it serves up an amazing experience, as the lazy soundtrack of the big V12 fills the cabin."

"The Ocean Drive looks as if it’s a car that could go into production tomorrow. It has few outlandish concept features inside or out, and it would pose a strong challenge to luxury drop-top rivals from Bentley and Rolls-Royce."

To learn more, head over to Auto Express where you can find the complete details of their time with the Mercedes-Benz Ocean Drive Concept.
