Owners of the Mercedes S-Class now have yet another to reason to bask in the superiority of their premium luxury sedan.  That's because the model took the highest honor in the latest J.D. Power APEAL study, earning the position of top-performing model by beating out both the Lexus LS and Porsche 911.

The award is just the latest bestowed upon Mercedes-Benz by J.D. Power.  As you may remember, earlier in the month the E-Class and CLK-Class were both given Gold Awards for boasting the highest vehicle quality in their respective classes, while Mercedes’ Sindelfingen plant managed to earn J.D. Power's Platinum Award (making it the assembly facility with the best delivered quality worldwide).

For more info on the latest J.D. Power APEAL study as well as the S-Class' victory, you can find the full details in the press release below.

Enjoy.

Once again, as last year, the premium products of Mercedes-Benz have emerged among the winners of a consumer survey carried out by the renowned US market research institute J.D. Power and Associates. With the results of this year’s “APEAL” study, US consumers have once again confirmed the extremely high design and concept quality of the Stuttgart-based automotive brand.

Satisfaction levels among new vehicle owners is the focus of J.D. Power and Associates’ annual “APEAL” study. The result for the C‑Class, which has been able to make significant gains over its predecessor model since its market introduction, is equally positive.

At the start of this month, J.D. Power had already honoured the E-Class and the CLK with the coveted Gold Award for top product quality. The Mercedes-Benz works in Sindelfingen also received a Platinum Award as the production plant delivering the best quality worldwide among all car manufacturers.
