Rendering of a Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG Black Series

On Friday we brought word that a teaser image had appeared on the AMG Private Lounge website, and that in all probability, the disguised model was a Mercedes SL65 AMG Black Series.  For those of you too impatient to wait until July to see the model unveiled, however, we received an email from a fine artist by the name of Jonathan who has illustrated in advance his vision of the new SL.  Although the lines of the Jonathan's rendering are a little sharp when compared to the prior images of the SL65 AMG Black Series (images that show the SL with masking removed), the rendering is still a fantastic visualization of the yet-to-be-released supercar.

As for how he accomplished the rendering, Jonathan started with a base image of the new SL65 AMG, and with the help of Photoshop CS, added the widebody flares along with requisite reflections.  The wheels were courtesy of BRABUS, with the Monoblock VI Platinum Edition the specific variant chosen.

In addition to Jonathan's email, we also received another email from a reader by the name of Daniel who directed us to a rendering of a potential CLC Convertible (sorry for the tardiness Daniel).  Designed by CWW Automotive Design, the rendering shows the new sports coupe sans top with a Barbara Walters-filter applied, and in all likelihood if it was ever produced, it would make for a remarkably successful model.

So there you have it:   two renderings for your viewing pleasure. You can see both below, and to view more of either artists work, you can head over to Jonathan's website at JonSibal.com or CWW Automotive Design at CWWCarDesign.com.

Enjoy.

[And a special thanks to Jonathan and Daniel for the tips.]
