Those of you wishing to be the first among the general population to witness firsthand Mercedes' new SLR convertible, mark your calendars.  This weekend at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the UK, the supercar will make its public debut, finally showcasing to the world what a SLR sans top looks like.

If you're interested in attending, the event runs from Friday June 22nd through Sunday June 24th, and of course features a wealth of fun for car lovers of all ages, some of which include the famed "hillclimb," a Forest Rally Stage, a number of F1 (and numerous other) race cars and drivers, and the "Junior Festival of Speed."
