We received an email this morning from an astute reader by the name of John who sent us what appears to be a new Mercedes print ad campaign. The advertisements depict various art gallery settings, with a parking space intertwined among the gallery's various pieces. The tag line is simply "The New S-Class | Masterpiece".
From a marketing standpoint, I think the advertisements are fairly effective at capturing the viewer's attention and clearly portray their intended message. While its true the new ads lack any visual reference pertaining to the model, I find that the longer I view the ads, the more intriguing they become, which, if I knew nothing of the S-Class, would compel me to actively seek out more information relating to the model, and hence, make the advertisements a success.
