Posted on June 8, 2006 at 7:00 PM CST

With summer finally upon us, automotive enthusiasts of all types and creeds are putting the finishing touches on their beloved treasures - final coats of wax are being applied, rims are being polished - all because, as Americans, summer means it's time to flaunt your vehicular goodness.

In keeping with this age-old tradition of outshining your fellow compatriot, we here at eMercedesBenz feel its our duty to provide you with the necessary resources to truly set your ride apart.

How is that possible?  I'm glad you asked.

To ensure an enjoyable and unique motoring experience for all of our adored readers, each week we'll be featuring a new tuner in a segment we're calling the "Tuner Spotlight." It could be something as simple as a new set of rims, or it could be an entire tuning package to customize your Mercedes from the ground up - all that's certain is that every week, we'll bring you a scrumdidliumptious tuning treat.

Now that you know what the Tuning Spotlight is, it's time for the first ever installment, courtesy of the good folks over at Project Kahn.  Featured this week are the Project Kahn RS-X Diamond edition wheels, a lovely throwback to the wire wheel of yesteryear.  Shown above fitted on the always-striking Mercedes CLS, Project Kahn's RS-X wheels are constructed in a classically-styled cross spoke design, and are available in your choice of three finishes as well as a number of sizes up to 21".

To see more of the latest and greatest from Project Kahn, keep scrolling for photos of the RS-X Diamond edition wheels fitted on the Mercedes CLS, the Brabus Mercedes S-Class, and the Mercedes SLR McLaren.  Also, be sure to check out Project Kahn's website for more information on their entire lineup of Mercedes wheels and tuning packages.

And with that, our first installment of Tuning Spotlight is concluded.  Stay tuned next week to see what delectable Mercedes modifications lay in store.

Sayonara.
