New spy photos showcasing the Mercedes SLK equipped with a panoramic glass roof have emerged today, courtesy of the fine gentlemen of Auto Motor und Sport. In the photos, the darkened glass roof is clearly visible, as is a significant bulge over the rear wheel of the model that's hidden by light camouflage.
Rumor has it the bulge is simply testing equipment
as opposed to any actual exterior changes, while further speculation has suggested that the panoramic roof won't make it's way onto the SLK until 2011, when the next-generation SLK is revealed. Pricing for the roof is expected to be about EUR 1,800.
We will of course keep you posted if any new details emerge. In the meantime, keep scrolling to see a few additional shots of the Mercedes SLK fitted with a panoramic glass roof during testing, or head over to Auto Motor und Sport where you can find the full SLK spy photo gallery in its entirety.
Enjoy.
