The E-Class station wagon, which received an extensive upgrade in mid-2006, is enjoying tremendous popularity with Mercedes-Benz customers. Deliveries of the upper-range station wagon have increased by 14 percent to 16,700 units since the beginning of this year.
Approximately 185,000 customers have opted for the E-Class station wagon since the model's market launch in March 2003. The primary selling points of the E-Class station wagon are its elegance, comfort, and cargo volume of up to 1,950 liters. Moreover, it offers innovative safety technologies such as PRE-SAFE® and the optional Intelligent Light System. Around three quarters of all E-Class station wagon customers drive one of the four diesel variants. The most popular engine version for the upper-range Mercedes-Benz station wagon is the E 220 CDI, which is chosen by approximately 30 percent of customers...

As part of the Olympic Solidarity program, DaimlerChrysler handed over a Mercedes Benz Sprinter to the National Olympic Committee of Vietnam. The vehicle was jointly presented by Wilfried Porth, Director of the Van Business Unit at DaimlerChrysler and Ser Miang Ng, member of the IOC, to the Vietnam Olympic Committee, represented by its president, Nguyen Danh Thai. It is the one-hundredth minibus that DaimlerChrysler has provided to a National Olympic Committee. With the most recent donation, the NOC of Vietnam is the only National Olympic Committee which has received a second vehicle. Just like the first van which was handed over exactly 10 years ago, the new vehicle will also be used to carry young Vietnamese athletes to training sessions and competitions...

As you undoubtedly noticed, the past week or so there's been an eerie quietness permeating through eMercedesBenz, with a grand total of exactly zero stories being published the last eleven days. The reason? An unexpected trip with my significant other took me up north to spend time with the family; an event which, when paired with no internet connection, equated to no updates.
But don't worry ladies and gentlemen - I'm back; I'm rejuvenated;
I'm ready to rock. To those of you who sent tips: I sincerely appreciate it, and I'm going to do my best to cover all of them. To everyone else, thanks for reading; you're fantastic; and I love each and every one of you.
Now, on with the stories...

Welcome back ladies and gentlemen; I hope you all had fantastic weekends. To kick things off this morning, I'm going to do something that I should have done last week, but due to an increasingly hectic schedule I wasn't quite able to accomplish. The task I'm referring to is bringing you the newest collection of Mercedes reviews - reviews which look at the Mercedes-Benz CL65 AMG, C350 Sport, C350 CGI and the C63 AMG. What sets this Review Roundup apart, however, is the inclusion of a non-Mercedes review - one which looks at the 2008 Lexus LS 600H L. As for why I'm including the review, as our friend Martin pointed out, the Lexus is a vehicle that's been billed as a "green" S600-killer, a claim which the New York Times clearly refutes.
As with all our Review Roundup segments, you can find links to each review, along with brief descriptions of each, immediately below...
