Welcome back ladies and gentlemen; I hope you all had fantastic weekends. To kick things off this morning, I'm going to do something that I should have done last week, but due to an increasingly hectic schedule I wasn't quite able to accomplish. The task I'm referring to is bringing you the newest collection of Mercedes reviews - reviews which look at the Mercedes-Benz CL65 AMG, C350 Sport, C350 CGI and the C63 AMG. What sets this Review Roundup apart, however, is the inclusion of a non-Mercedes review - one which looks at the 2008 Lexus LS 600H L. As for why I'm including the review, as our friend Martin pointed out, the Lexus is a vehicle that's been billed as a "green" S600-killer, a claim which the New York Times clearly refutes.
As with all our Review Roundup segments, you can find links to each review, along with brief descriptions of each, immediately below.
Enjoy.
2008 Mercedes CL65 AMG - Evo provides a fairly brief look at Mercedes' flagship AMG coupe, dedicating the majority of the article to describing the CL's drive characteristics before eventually stating that should a Bentley Continental GT be too common for you, the "CL65 AMG might just tick all the boxes"
2008 Mercedes C350 Sport - Inside Line pits the new C350 Sport against the 2007 BMW 335i, eventually declaring the 335i victor due to "its mega engine and unflappable handling"
2007 Mercedes CLS350 CGI - The newest installment of EVO's long term CLS350 CGI test - one in which the author questions whether or not his test subject is the victim of a possible steering or driveline problem
2008 Mercedes C63 AMG - Inside Line discusses their first time behind the wheel of the new C63 AMG, praising it across the board and stating that "it delivers the sort of response you just don't expect from a Mercedes"
2008 Lexus LS 600H L - The New York Times looks at a vehicle which originally promised to pair Mercedes-like luxury with Toyota-like fuel efficiency; ultimately, it falls short on both counts
And before I go, a special thanks to our friends Andy, Shiv, Damian and Martin for the tips - as always gentlemen, we sincerely appreciate each and every one of them.
