While going through our inbox this afternoon, we received an email from an astute reader by the name of Joost, directing us to an article that asks the age-old question of what high-powered German luxury sedan ranks highest in what is surely one of the automotive world's greatest battles.

To arrive at the answer, Automobile magazine reviewed three of the top contenders - the 2007 Mercedes E63 AMG, 2007 BMW M5, and 2007 Audi S6 - where, after extensive rounds of testing, one vehicle emerged as the victor.

Which of the elite three did Automobile choose?

Please - like we don't already know the answer.  The Mercedes E63, in all of its masculine yet luxuriously-subdued beauty, performed up to its billing, dominating the review and proving, for the time being at least, which product of German engineering reigns supreme.
