Yes, ladies and gentlemen, after an extended holiday vacation we are indeed back, and let me begin by wishing you all an absolutely wonderful new year. While we were away, one of the major stories making headlines was news that the first official details of the updated Mercedes SL-Class have been revealed, or more specifically, the AMG SL-Class models.

As it turns out, the much talked about rumors indicating that a SL63 AMG was under development have indeed come to fruition, with it and the SL65 AMG both benefiting from the styling revisions that have been captured in the spy photos as of late.  While official photos of the new front end have yet to be revealed, the redesigned rear apron is full exposed, as is the new rear spoiler and side vents.

In addition, the technical data for both models has been revealed as well, with the SL63 AMG boasting an output of 386 kW (525 hp) and 630 Newton metres of torque.  The SL65 AMG maintains its rating of 450 kW (612 hp), along with 1,000 Nm of torque.
