While going through inbox this afternoon an astute reader by the name of Kelton directed us to the latest comparison review conducted by Motor Trend - one which analyzes once again the three leaders in the high-horsepowered, mid-sized segment: the 2007 Mercedes E63 AMG; the 2007 BMW M5; and the 2007 Audi S6.
Coming off two prior victories in the exact same Automobile and Car and Driver comparisons, one would expect the E63 to perform admirably, ranking at or at least very near the top of the trio. Holding this assumption would be inaccurate however, due to the fact that Motor Trend ranked the E63 last among the vehicles tested.
Here's what Motor Trend had to say about the Mercedes E63 AMG:
"Which ride rules as the ultimate factory Terminator? The Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG tops the trio in power and in base price, starting at $87,475. In return you get an unfailingly civilized executive's express with a handsome (if conventional) cabin, classic Mercedes good looks, and a powertrain worthy of Zeus himself. But the rivals offer even more. Third place." |
While I could take a moment to refute Motor Trend's findings, already winning two of the same comparison reviews on two separate occasions speaks volumes in and of itself.
To read the review and judge for yourself, head over to Motor Trend for the full article.
And to
Kelton: thanks for the tip my good sir; we truly appreciate it.
