While going through our inbox this afternoon our good friend Jinx directed us to a recent comparison test conducted by the fine gentlemen over at Car and Driver - one which analyzes three of the world's foremost high-powered luxury sedans: the 2007 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG; the 2007 BMW M5; and the 2007 Audi S6.
So which of the three emerged victorious, showcasing to the world the highest-possible caliber of finely-crafted German performance engineering? According to Car & Driver:
| "But as noted earlier, the Benz’s eager throttle response — most of the torque is available by 2000 rpm — made it a superb ally on byways such as California Highway One. If it wasn’t quite as unflappable as the S6, it was certainly more willing and able to hurry through twisty sections than any other AMG car in our experience. Which was just enough to carry the day." |
In case you missed it, the above quote, albeit in a roundabout way, declared the Mercedes E63 AMG victor.
To see the full review as well as how all three German vehicles fared, head over to Car and Driver for the full comparison.
And to Jinx: thanks for the tip my good sir; we sincerely appreciate it.
