Now that the 2008 C-Class has been unveiled and prominently displayed for the world to see, it's only fitting we turn our attention back to the land of body-cladding and conjecture, speculating what exactly we'll see in the next-generation Mercedes E-Class.

To do so, we turn our attention to Auto Express, who today has taken the liberty of posting a number of spy photos and details of what they think will be featured in the upcoming model. According to Auto Express:

"Mercedes will abandon SBC in favour of conventional brakes, although they will boast features such as wet-weather disc wiping and wheel-selective cornering brake control. Optional ceramic-composite discs could be introduced top-down, starting with the AMG models. The next E class will ape the S-class’s wheel-arch extensions, rising character line below the door handles, massive bumpers, and greenhouse. A more sculpted wide-frame grille, the more geometric nasal air intakes, and the wedge-shaped profile should give W212 a sportier stance."

To read more next-generation E-Class rumors as well as view the full spy photo gallery of the aforementioned model, head over to Auto Express for the full article.
