In awards news, the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter has just been named the "Semperit Irish Van of the Year 2007" by the Irish Motoring Writers Association, edging out the Ford Transit and Fiat Ducato by two and seven points, respectively.
The decision came after the seven voting members
of the Irish Motoring Writers Association evaluated a number of vehicles in the commercial segment and analyzed each based on value-for-money, reliability, versatility and lasting residual value; after which the Sprinter emerged the victor.
