To my Canadian readers currently battling winter's bitter, icy grip, the thought of a new SUV is undoubtedly one that has entered your minds on at least one instance. To help make the pains of choosing which model is best suited to do battle with arctic conditions all while providing the rolling haven of serenity you desire, our friend Tim directed us to a recent review published by GlobeAuto - one which looks at the new diesel-powered ML320 CDI.
So what did GlobeAuto think?
As has been echoed time and time again, the reviewer found that, despite the negative feeling typically harbored towards diesel-equipped models, the ML320 CDI performs remarkably like its gas-powered counterpart. No waiting for the glow-plug indicator light; no noise; no smell; yet, despite the lack of these negative diesel traits, one characteristic - excellent fuel consumption - does remain. Add to this the fact that the ML is "one of the most nicely appointed SUVs on the market" and its "fit and finish, NVH (noise, vibration, harshness) and quality of materials is still first-rate," and I would say that GlobeAuto was generally pleased with the new model.
