Tag Heuer Unveils New SLR Chronograph
Posted on February 22, 2006 at 10:45 AM CST

Tag Heuer SLR for Mercedes-Benz WatchWhile browsing our sources today, I stumbled upon a story that I somehow failed to miss last week.

It turns out that Tag Heuer, purveyor of fine Swiss timepieces, has released a follow up to their widely successful "SLR Chronograph" which made its debut at Baselworld in 2004. The newly-introduced Tag Heuer SLR for Mercedes-Benz features "push buttons that are boldly positioned on the top of the case and ergonomically inclined at 45 degrees; a timekeeping scale that is audaciously placed inside the case on a rotating, mechanic, unidirectional ring driven by a second crown at 9 o’clock; and an exterior bezel elegantly polished in black finish and engraved 'SLR.'"  Furthermore, the watch features ten double index diamond facets all set by hand, and to complete the package, the Mercedes-Benz and Tag Heuer logos are discreetly displayed on the watch's dial.

If you're interested, the SLR Chronograph is being produced in a limited number of only 3,500 pieces, so all you SLR owners better act quick.  Wait a minute, didn't we just run a story about the 1,000th Mercedes SLR just rolling off the assembly line?

Oh well, I guess I wasn't the only one that failed 1st grade math.

For more info, you can check out the Tag Heuer SLR for Mercedes-Benz by visiting TagHeuer.com. They have a bunch of other motorsports inspired watches as well, so if you're in the market for some new wrist candy, head over and check them out.
