Adding to the Mercedes S-Class convertible speculation that's been building since back in June, Automobile magazine today is reporting that yes, the model is still set to debut at the Detroit Auto Show next month.
According to the publication, an industry source close to the project says production for the drop-top variant is planned. The article then goes on to elaborate that the model would be based on the S600, and would likely carry a $10K - $15K higher price tag than the traditional V12-powered model.
To this "industry source" or to anyone else familiar with the project, I say this: send me pictures of the S-Class convertible in advance of the show and I will make you rich beyond your wildest expectations.
Here at eMercedesBenz, money flows like manna from heaven; send me the photos and I assure you - anything in this universe which you desire will be yours.*

*Note: This statement is purely fictional. While we do encourage you to send us photos of the S-Class convertible, you will not receive any monetary benefits. You will however, receive fame, worldwide notoriety and the tremendous sense of self-worth that will undoubtedly overwhelm you when you realize that you single-handedly broke the most monolithic news story of the past 10,000 years.
