Everywhere I look I've been seeing this story today, so I thought I'd take a second and reiterate an article we brought you back in November, just in case you missed it.
According to insider sources, DaimlerChrysler is expecting to boost operating profit of the Mercedes Car Group from approximately $1.98 billion in 2004 to $5.1 billion in 2008, thanks to lowering payrolls as well as through cutting additional jobs.
This number has increased slightly (about $300,000 USD) since we first brought you the story, but overall, the same sentiment remains clear - the Mercedes Car Group is planning on increasing their operating profit in the near future.
We'll find out soon enough whether or not Daimler's new cost-cutting plan will work.
