Mercedes-Benz Text Tracks Volume 1

Let me preface this story by saying of all the things that I consider myself, a literary genius is not one of them.

I'm sure many of you out there do take pleasure in contemporary literature, and it is to this group that the following story will be of interest. To the rest of you, I encourage you to continue reading anyways, if merely for the sake of a good laugh.

Mercedes has finally released the first edition of text tracks, a collection of short stories and poems made available for free download through their website.

According to Mercedes, the stories are made up of all genres, including romance, thrillers, and poetry, and showcase the talent of young and upcoming literary talents from around the world.

As I said at the begninning of the story, I by no means consider myself a literary connoisseur, but nonetheless, I will still grace you with my opinion.

Let me paint a picture for you.  Imagine if you were forced to listen to Celine Dion sing the theme song from the movie Titanic over and over and over... imagine the sheer state of psychosis your mind would enter in a matter of minutes.

Now, imagine if you could harness that very same mentally-impairing power, and transfer it all to a series of short downloadable audio stories.  That will give you some indication of what effect the stories had on me.

Then again, you may listen to the stories and feel they're so wonderful, God Himself must have inspired them.

I doubt it though.

Either way, I invite you to listen to the stories yourself, and form your own opinion of how good (or how bad) they are.
