Mercedes Car Group Notes Slight 1.3 Percent Sales Increase For The Month Of July

Mercedes-Benz, Maybach and smart logosWelcome back ladies and gentlemen; I hope you all had a fantastic August weekend.  To kick things off this morning, DaimlerChrysler has published details how sales of the Mercedes Car Group's Mercedes-Benz, Maybach and smart brands fared for the month of July, which, despite a disappointing 13 percent decrease here in the U.S., actually managed to achieve a slight gain.  In total, July's sales amounted to 103,700 units, an increase of 1.3 percent when compared to July 2006. This figure brings the Mercedes Car Group's year-to-date sales up to 721,400 units, a decrease of 1.1 percent when compared to 2006's seven-month ytd total...

Mercedes-Benz USA Notes A July Decrease In Sales Of 13.9 Percent

As my title has already alluded to, it was a difficult month for Mercedes-Benz USA, with the U.S. division noting a drastic 13.9% decrease in sales.  In total, sales at MBUSA for July amounted to 18,586 new vehicles, compared to 21,591 new units in July 2006.  This figure brings Mercedes-Benz USA's year-to-date total to 136,826 new units, an increase over 2006's seven month ytd total of 0.2%...
