Despite a relatively slow past few days in terms of Mercedes-related news, one thing which hasn't slowed is the ongoing stream of reviews attempting to analyze various MB models. In total, seven different publications weighed in on the C-Class, GL550, CLK63 AMG Black Series and E63 AMG Wagon, giving those of you who may be contemplating the purchase of any a small glimpse of what to expect from each.
As always, you can find links to each review along with brief descriptions of each immediately below.
Enjoy.
Mercedes C63 AMG - Car magazine's first drive of the C63, describing the AMG-powered C-Class as an "absolute riot" before stating "it could just be the best sports saloon on sale"
Mercedes C-Class - The Chicago Sun Times delivers a somewhat choppy look at the new C-Class model range, detailing various features and performance attributes
Mercedes GL550 - Edmund's first drive of the new GL550, detailing nicely the model's feature set before delving into its real-world driving characteristics
Mercedes CLK63 AMG Black Series - The Independent [via Motoring.co.za] weighs in on the CLK63 Black, praising most of its features but questioning its rather sizable price tag
Mercedes CLK63 AMG Black Series - The Truth About Cars provides the second, well-written look at the limited-edition CLK Black Series, stating that it's "a slap in the face of BMW's new M3– albeit at a daunting price"
Mercedes CLK63 AMG Black Series - The third and final CLK63 Black review comes courtesy of one of The Mercury News' various blogs; it's a terrible, non-descriptive review which, in all sincerity, isn't worth reading (but is included here for sake of completeness)
Mercedes E63 AMG Wagon - Last but not least, Automobile pits the Mercedes E63 Wagon against its German rivals - the Audi RS4 and BMW M5 - eventually stating that "performance of this magnitude deployed in a humble wagon [the E63] feels wonderfully irresponsible in a way 507 hp housed in something low and penile never could."
Low and penile - not quite as dramatic as "brazen and cock-engorging," but a nice effort on the part of Automobile nonetheless.
And to Shiv and Joe: thanks for the tips gentlemen; we sincerely appreciate them.
