In addition to the numerous press releases we missed during our week-long hiatus, another area of MB news experiencing a slight backlog is the always-popular collection of Mercedes reviews you've come to know and love.  Thankfully, an action-packed, filled-to-the-brim "Review Roundup" is about to change that, with a total of six different Mercedes being put their paces.  The Mercedes SLR McLaren Roadster, the CLK63 AMG Black Series, the 2008 Mercedes C-Class, the 2008 C280, the Mercedes S500 (or S550 here in the States), and the ML280 - these are the chosen ones.  In total, there's eleven different articles, so if you've been experiencing symptoms of review withdrawal the past week, there's plenty to keep you occupied.

And before I get into the reviews, it's important to note that each of these articles was sent to us by the diligent and oft-mentioned Shiv, whose effort and industrious nature is truly appreciated. As always, we're sincerely grateful that you take the time to send us tips, even when it does take us a week to post them :)

So without further ado, the newest "Review Roundup" installment, courtesy of our good friend Shiv.

Enjoy.

Mercedes SLR McLaren Roadster - The first of five SLR Roadster reviews, Fifth Gear walks away from the supercar unimpressed, rating it three out of a possible five stars and describing it as "average"

Mercedes SLR McLaren Roadster - Channel 4 is the second to weigh in on the Mercedes SLR Roadster, with the tester noting more positives than the first review and eventually rating the model three-and-a-half out of a possible five stars

Mercedes SLR McLaren Roadster - Car magazine is the next to weigh in the SLR drop top, again offering mixed reviews before rating it three out of five stars (are you noticing a trend yet?)

Mercedes SLR McLaren Roadster - AutoCar's brief "First Drive" segment analyzing the SLR Roadster, with praise coming by way of the vehicle's power but negatives again arising as a result of the supercar's brakes and steering

Mercedes SLR McLaren Roadster - Times Online offers the fifth and final look at the SLR Roadster, noting the newest member of the Mercedes supercar family is "the best of the SLR breed" before rating it... you guessed it... three out of a possible five stars

Mercedes CLK63 AMG Black Series - Evo offers an in-depth look at the CLK Black, praising its "wonderfully balanced chassis, looks, build quality" before rating it four-and-a-half out of a possible five stars

2008 Mercedes C-Class - Fifth Gear offers a relatively concise look at the new C-Class lineup, rating the new models in ten different categories (its final average was four out of a possible five stars)

2008 Mercedes C-Class - An older review but one which I believe we missed, Drive.com.au provides Australians with an overview of the new C-Class lineup which focuses on both its design and specification list

2008 Mercedes C280 - Jeremy Clarkson and the Times Online provide an amusing look at the state of government affairs before touching briefly on the new C280; eventually, he rates it three out of a possible five stars

Mercedes S500 - Drive.com.au pits the Mercedes S500 (S550 in the U.S.) against the Lexus LS460 and Maserati Quattroporte; it's up to you decide who emerges victorious

Mercedes ML280 - Last but not least, Drive.com.au offers a comparison test analyzing the Mercedes ML280, BMW X5, Audi Q7, Lexus RX400h, Range Rover Sport, Volkswagen Touareg and Volvo XC90; eventually, the Audi is declared victor
