In case you haven't been to the Mercedes AMG website as of late, I wanted to post a quick note letting you know there's a new webspecial dedicated to the AMG variants of the 2009 Mercedes SL. Although we've brought you most of the information already, the site offers a slightyly more stylized outlet by which to view the various changes made to the model. There's a few desktop images for your computer and iPhone as well, so if you're looking to grab some high-resolution shots of the AMG roadster and plaster them across them you're monitor or phone, you're in luck...

This year marks the 150th anniversary of Rudolf Diesel's birth, and to commemorate the occasion, Mercedes has unveiled a new lineup of four-cylinder diesel engines boasting greater performance, higher torque, better emission properties and improved fuel efficiency.
In its most potent variant, the new Mercedes-Benz OM 651 250 CDI variant produces 150 kW/204 hp from its 2143 cubic centimeters - an increase of about 20 percent over its predecessor. In addition, peak torque has risen from 400 Nm to 500 Nm (an increase of 25 percent), while fuel consumption drops to just 5.4 liters per 100 kilometers (down 0.5 liters). Likewise, the 125 kW/170 hp 220 CDI variant also boasts significantly improved fuel efficiency, consuming 0.8 liters less fuel (5.1 liters per 100 kilometers) when fitted on the new C-Class...

| Looking For An Older Story? Check The Archives. |

No, ladies and gentlemen, your eyes do not deceive you. After nearly three years of operations we have finally taken the time to offer our past articles via an archives section, meaning that you no longer have repeatedly click the "Next Page" link at the bottom of the page to find one of the older stories we've published.
As if that isn't enough excitement for one day, we've also updated our former Google search box with a new-and-improved Google search - one that offers results a little more in tune with the design of the rest of the site.
Although neither change is earth-shattering, they should hopefully make finding stories a little easier for you while we work on completing the currently-under-development eMercedesBenz 2.0. As always, thanks to each and every one of you for reading the site - we hope you enjoy the changes.
P.S. - To take advantage of either the search box or article archives, you can find both on the sidebar of every page. Be sure to reset your browser's cache to ensure both display correctly.

|

Before I begin, let me briefly apologize for the lack of updates over the past few days - we've been attempting to archive our past articles to make finding older stories a little easier, but unfortunately it's taken a little longer than we originally anticipated. Despite the delay, we should have our archives up and running this week, so stay tuned for a slightly improved navigation structure.
Taking a break from our behind-the-scenes work, however, Mercedes today has published a slew of press releases covering a number of topics that we felt were necessary to publish. To get the info out as quickly as possible I'm going to abstain from commenting, but we will resume regular posting immediately following the completion of our archiving.
First up, details of a new Mercedes-Benz Mountain bike - the perfect way to get outdoors and take advantage of the beautiful spring climate...
